My daughter, son-in-law, and grand daughter; plus my two enjoyed our stay at the cottage.

The property was clean and provided plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the great view of the lake and sound of the waves on the shore. I recommend this for a great place to relax and have a good time with family and friends.

Great Experience

  • 4 of 5

Very nice property. It was clean and well maintained. Would have been nice to have water "toys" even rafts etc. available to us. We didn't really go in the water much because the bottom of the lake is so rocky and we weren't prepared for that. To rent a boat or anything it was like 14 miles away and figured we would use up all the gas etc. just getting back to the cottage. It was very well stocked in the kitchen with anything you can think of. Plenty of sleeping area. The view was breathtaking. Loved how close it was to so many wineries. Would recommend to others. Thanks for everything!

Weekend away

  • 5 of 5

We had such a fun time - plenty of room and comfort in the house, gorgeous porch to watch the sunrise and drink coffee, shoreline to wade in, and kayaks to roam around in. A beautiful, well managed piece of property. I highly recommend it!

Great little cottage on the lake

  • 4 of 5

2 couples shared this lake cottage for 3 nights and just loved it. As others have said, whoever sleeps downstairs has to go up the outside stairs to use the bathroom, but that didn't bother us. Bring drinking water as the well water smells of sulfur (but is drinkable). The kitchen was really well stocked with great pans and utensils as well as pantry staples.

Great views of the lake and 2 kayaks to paddle around in.

The transport system for luggage, etc., was ingenious and we were thankful to not have to haul all our luggage and groceries down the stairs! We liked that the cottage was right on the lake and that we didn't have to go very far to be at the water.

Great location and views of the lake!!!

  • 4 of 5

We had good time at this cottage with my family. The location is perfect to visit in and around the finger lakes area.

The rental agent greeted us when we arrived at the cottage and showed us around. To get to cottage you have to take steps down from the road. There is a system to transport your luggage/stuff to the cottage from the top.

The cottage was clean and well maintained. The cottage is well stocked with towels, sheets, bed sheets. Kitchen itself had lot of cooking stuff. Definitely did not expect that.

The Sun room is excellent place to hang out. Lots of light/Sunrise and good view of lake from each side. The main bedroom has attached bathroom which is little bit of issue if you have 2 couples since there is only one bathroom access from main bedroom. The second bedroom needs to be accessed from outside the cottage so some may not prefer it and to access bathroom they need to come to main bedroom. The Sun room also has sleep in sofas. There is little deck on top of main bedroom where kids can sleep.

The boat dock had sustained damage due to winter weather and was broken when we arrived. It's good place to put chairs and enjoy the view of the lake and owner of the property did mention that it was going to be fixed soon.

Things which would make this property even more ideal would be another bathroom, dishwasher and an onsite laundry machine.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your honest feedback. It allows us to make improvements to make our guests experience more enjoyable in the future. This is our second season renting and we are in the process of making improvements. We are expanding the bedroom on the lower level and are adding a full bathroom. We had hoped to have it completed before summer, but we experienced high lake levels this spring and sustained damage to our dock and had to focus on those repairs. I am happy to say that the dock has been completely replaced. We are hopeful that the bathroom addition and bedroom expansion will be completed by late summer. Thank you for choosing our Seneca Lake property!

Do it!

  • 5 of 5

This rental is definitely worth renting! My girlfriend and I rented the place for her birthday and had an absolutely great time. It's a very clean and cozy lake house with a beautiful dock to enjoy the wonderful views of Seneca Lake.

The top floor has an enclosed porch with HUGE windows to get a full panoramic view of the lake. We actually ended up sleeping on the pull out couch both nights in the enclosed porch because of the views. You experience one of the best sunrises with those tall and wide windows, highly recommend it!
