Overview

British Columbia Gulf Islands Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

This cottage is perfect for a family of four or five and is situated on three gorgeous acres at the foot of the best hike on South Pender Island! It is just 6 km away from shopping, groceries, etc. at Driftwood Center. The deckside hot tub provides a beautiful view of Plumper Sound. The hammock is an awesome place to relax after hiking some of the local trails, two of which begin just beyond the back of the property. The playground features a playhouse, a swing set, volleyball/badminton net, tire swing, tether ball and bocce ball. You can take a short drive and swim off the beach at Mortimer Spit or at one of the public pools or rent a kayak and explore the island's beautiful coastline.

The North Pender 27 pin Fisbee Golf offers family fun for all ages. After a full day of play, settle in and relax around the woodstove in the livingroom of the cottage, have games night, or light a fire in the outdoor firepit and cook smores.

The Cottage is pet friendly and can comfortably accommodate four people to a maximum of six. The lower bedroom offers two twin beds while the large master loft bedroom, accessible by a short ship's ladder, has a queen size bed with a beautiful view of the ocean. A double foamie is available if required.

Kupers Ridge has an open-plan living room, dining room and well-equipped kitchen with a bread maker and microwave. The living room has a wood burning stove, stereo and color tv with a vcr/dvd player. Other amenities are a washer and dryer and telephone. The cottage also provides an outdoor fire pit, outdoor hot tub, deck with patio furniture and an electric patio BBQ. A back-up generator is on site in the event of a power failure.

Great secluded hidewaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a week at this cottage and highly recommend this one for small families as the property is quite expansive. Lots to do here, volleyball , horseshoes, teatherball, kids playground, badminton, etc...we spent a lot of time mountain biking around the grounds it is that big ! The real star of the show is the hot tub on the deck. It was how we started and ended our activity laden days and is great rain or shine while taking in the beautiful view.

If you are looking to unplug with deer at your doorstep, quiet nights and the smell of sea air this is the place!

Great Stay!

  • 5 of 5

I spent the weekend at this cottage with some friends, and I must say it is definitely a great destination for more than just families and couples! Very reasonable cost for what you get, and the cabin is well stocked and supplied. The frankly enormous yard was great for more than a few games of soccer and bocce, and the hot tub (which to be honest was a bit of a selling point for us) did not disappoint. We were blessed with amazing weather, but the cabin's library of movies would have kept us well entertained even if we weren't! Sheila was a pleasure to deal with, and I know I speak for my whole group when I say we would definitely stay here again.

awesome

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome spot! Loved the cabin, nothing fancy just very homy (homey?) it just felt like my family cabin when I grew up, so charming and sweet. And the hot tub! Hot tubbing under the stars without any noise, absolutely loved it. Sheila was very accomodating, easy communication. Thanks for sharing that nice property with the world! I would definitely recommend

Fantastic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We wanted to get away from the city for a relaxing weekend and this beautiful little place was the perfect getaway. It is equipped with everything that you need for a weekend getaway. All you need to bring is your cloths, food, wine and books. Everything else you could desire is provided. It is clean, quiet, secluded on three acres and the hot tub is the icing on the cake! The picturesque views and serene surroundings are all part of the package. We cannot wait to return to this little piece of heaven on earth!

Nice cabin but fix the stairs

  • 2 of 5

We stayed at this cabin for three nights. It is a nice size and well-equipped, with a nice view of the ocean. Access to the park is immediately adjacent to the property. Because it is fairly secluded, the setting is quiet but the fridge ran almost constantly and we found this somewhat annoying after a while.

We give this cabin only two stars because the bottom set of stairs to the bedroom loft are hazardous: the bottom step is only half the width of the others (which are standard-sized stairs). It is clear this step was shortened so that the door to the loft can close, but the door is unnecessary. We did not notice this narrow step, until we both fell coming down the stairs on the first day. Because the step is not 'to code' and is a hazard, it is a liability for the owners and needs to be fixed before someone seriously hurts themselves.

Owner's Response: I'm so sorry you had this experience. We have been renting for many years and have never received that feedback before. Notwithstanding, we value all commentary from our guests and have taken a look at both of your concerns. We are due for a new fridge and will be replacing it with one that is more energy efficient. We are also going to replace the step and put in a different type of door. The door is necessary to prevent small children from climbing the stairs and risk hurting themselves. I'm glad you appeared to have otherwise enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your comments.

Lovely quiet weekend

  • 5 of 5

A few weekends ago we stayed here for a mini family vacation ! The cabin was clean and very well equipped ! We have an almost two year old and they even had a little highchair desk for him and lots of books as well as play structures !! Lovely secluded property and a nice hot hottub ! Rained most of the time but we also caught the best dungeness yet on Pender ! We would definately come back as well as recommend it to anyone!
