Experience the beauty of Montana and unsurpassed hospitality at this beautiful, well-maintained, modern art deco style home featuring 2700 square feet, four bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, 5-acres and stunning mountain views. Conveniently situated in the mountains just 15 minutes North of Columbia Falls, three miles from access to the North Fork River (a favorite river for swimming, floating, fishing, and rafting) and only twelve miles from the West entrance of Glacier National Park, make this home an excellent choice for your next vacation!
There is plenty to explore in and around this home! When you are not out and about exploring the valley, you'll enjoy preparing meals in our well-stocked kitchen, or relaxing on the wrap around deck taking in the breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, and the Great Northern. Up the hill, just behind the house, you'll find huckleberries galore free for the picking, and just off the property, on forest service land, a nearby cliff offers impressive panoramic views of the mountains, Bailey Lake, and Spoon Lake.
Prefer to take it slower? Spoon Lake public access (where we store the canoe) is a two- minute walk from the home. You'll love spending a peaceful morning canoeing, fishing, and watching the loon that frequent the area. If you are lucky, you might even see an eagle grab a fish out of the water. No kidding! Just a little further down the road, you'll find a trail that goes through the woods, over the creek, and down to a second public access beach on Spoon Lake. (The owners prefer this access for swimming). The trail continues past the beach, around part of Spoon Lake, and up into the woods to connect with the Canyon Creek trail system. Back at the house, top it all off by ending your day at one of the properties multiple fire pits, relaxing in the hot tub, shooting a game of pool, or gather your friends and family for a backyard game of volleyball, or horseshoes.
Interested in exploring the rest of what the valley has to offer?Whitefish is just 25 minutes away and offers boutique shopping, fine dining, nightlife, hiking, zip lining, mountain biking and so much more. The charming town of Bigfork is 35 minutes to the south and offers multiple options for having fun on Flathead Lake. Kalispell is just 25 minutes away and provides a host of popular shopping outlets, a cinema, dining options for every taste, a water park, and more. Closer to home you'll find the small town of Columbia Falls, which is home to your nearest grocery store, restaurant, bar, and waterpark.

We enjoy hiking, sightseeing with our family, traveling, and working to make our property the best place to stay in our corner of the woods!
Peter & Shannon McNamee purchased this house in 2007
We chose this property because for its forest setting, spectacular views, nearby lake, and huckleberries!
Everyone falls in love with our property for the same reasons: the modern style of the home, along with its awe-inspiring views. If you are looking for a beautiful home and property to be your home base while exploring the area, then this property will not disappoint!
We, the Littlejohns, Melgaards, & Cyr families arrived about 3 hours ago. Soooo very much excitement going with the house and all the surroundings. As parents it is one of our joys in life to be a part of their lives and being with them. (Guestbook: I'll be back later...dinner to help with, Mother Littlejohn)
Saturday following Aug 1 =)
Our journey has come to an end =( Most were tired, some of us are home in Cleveland already - all have mixed feeling about going (but I could stay 7 more days at least) The world called Montana is absolutely wonderful, please take care of her. Thank you for making our trip comfortable, relaxing, and able to be enjoyed in the style we are accustomed. The world and the people therein are all to be enjoyed and loved.
Thank you!
The Cyrs, Melgaards, and Littlejohns
The house is beautiful with great views of Glacier National Park. (Sadly because of the fires the western portion of the Road to the Sun was closed, so it was quite a drive around to get to the open east side of the parks road to the sun.) The hiking trails you can access directly from the home are fun. The home and furnishings are exactly as advertised
Wonderful stay with my sister and brother with their spouse.
Nice environment located at mountain side location.
Everything was ready for cooking and picnic lunch pack.
Shannon was kind enough to come to the house and gives us all the
information we need.
I recently booked this property and had a great time celebrating my birthday with family. The views from the porch are amazing and the stars are breath taking at night. Overall, the home was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed our time here.
The only thing that could have been improved is the lack of window treatments/blinds in the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. Two of the upstairs rooms have no blinds which makes it impossible to sleep past sunrise. In addition, there is a window in the master bathroom that looks directly into the shower that does not have any blinds. This window directly faces what appears to be a deer blind further up the hill. Needless to say this made some guests feel uncomfortable.
Lastly, this property boasts several fire pits which was a huge selling point. However, there was a burn ban in effect during our trip. Apparently this is pretty common for this area around August. So, if you want to use the fire pits I would just be aware there may be a burn ban in effect during this time frame.
While we were not able to use the fire pits, the stars were gorgeous and we had a blast playing volleyball, canoeing on spoon lake, and relaxing on the hammock with beautiful views. Overall, I would definitely recommend this property.
Shannon's property in Columbia Falls was a perfect retreat for our group trip. The property is spacious, has wonderful views of the mountains, and is in a convenient location. We found the property was 30 minutes from GNP, 25 minutes from Whitefish, and only 20 minutes from the Kalispell airport.
Each morning and evening our group enjoyed relaxing on the wraparound porch, and the kitchen amenities made it easy for us to prepare and enjoy delicious meals.
I would have liked to enjoy the horseshoe pits, pool table, hot tub, and badminton courts; however, the convenient access to GNP and the beautiful rivers nearby was a draw away from the house.
Overall, we had a great experience with Shannon. She was prompt in answering our questions, polite, and courteous. I highly recommend staying at this property.
Property has great proximity to Glacier and other surrounding communities. We spent most of the time in the park but it was nice to come back in the evening and wind down on the balcony. Modern house in a serene setting! The house worked well for us and we wish we could have stayed longer!
This wonderful home has a number of important assets. It's close to Glacier National Park, Columbia Falls and Whitefish. The house is spacious and really well equipped. The property lies seemingly alone in the forest. Spoon Lake offers a quick and relaxing break just a 5 minute walk away. And the owners are super responsive. A perfect getaway for anyone wanting to explore the beauty of Montana.
