About David Lagakos
I grew up in New England, live in California, and enjoying coming back to New Hampshire as frequently as I can. There is nothing like the four wonderful seasons of New England.
David Lagakos purchased this Cottage in 1989
Why David Lagakos chose Rindge
The Cygnet cottage has been in my family as long as I can remember, and we love spending as much time as we can there.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Cygnet cottage is nestled in the woods right on a lake, and offers ample opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. It is one of the few rentals in New England that has an array of solar panels that offset most of the annual electricity usage. It is conveniently located at around 2 hours to Boston and roughly 5 hours to New York City.

Hockey weekend at the lake
We had a wonderful stay at the lake house while in town for a hockey tournament! The boys has so much fun fishing, playing ping pong and enjoying the beautiful views! The setup with the main house and guest house was perfect for our group! The property manager and owner were so accommodating- we would recommend this rental too anyone!

Can't say enough positive things about this property. Amazing location on the lake with incredible views from every room. Perfect for a large family or group of friends. We only had 6 stay all week but had 1 or 2 extra family members stop over for a night. Sleeps 12 comfortably. The caretaker Tara was very responsive and helpful. Amazing Fall colors on the trees all around the lake property. David, the owner also responded quickly and was very helpful. Close to grocery stores, restaurants (Kimballs in Jaffrey was a favorite!). Will definitely stay here again.
A perfect destination for a multigenerational family retreat. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the fishing, boating, ping pong, fire pit on the beach, and comfortable furnishings that the house had to offer. We can’t wait to come back!
Wonderful Fall Weekend
Our families enjoyed a great long weekend at Cygnet Cottage. The three kids and the six adults enjoyed the paddle boats, canoes and water toys. The house is waterfront on a very protected part of the lake. The kitchen is well equipped, we enjoyed cooking together and the owner encouraged us to pick herbs and tomatoes from his garden.
There are so many places to gather in and around the house, we each could find a perfect place for ourselves. The five bedrooms are upstairs in main house and three are in the annex over the ping pong/reception room. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Thank you for sharing your lovely vacation home.
The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed the sunny days outdoors (porch, grill, dock, swimming, boats, etc) and enjoyed the rainy days indoors (comfy chairs/couches, nice kitchen, smart TV and music system)... This place really has it all, and it's great for large groups! The owner and property manager are great, and I look forward to staying there with friends and family again in the future. 5 stars!
Wonderful lake house, very nice layout, has many activity to do. The only down side is the cove, which is not favorable to swimming, very weedy.
