The living room has a 42' Sony flatscreen TV with Comcast (HD and movie channels included) connection, DVD player and wireless internet. The kitchen has an island for eating with extra counter space and storage. The master bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has an adorable trundle bed set up (request of previous tenants). Linens and bathroom towels are here. There is a deck with gas grill and outside screened in dining area. A hammock and chaise for relaxing on sunny afternoons. Quiet Seacoast Shores neighborhood borders the Childs River and Waquoit Bay. If you have a boat this peninsula has a public landing with open ocean access, and there is room in the yard to store the boat on it's trailer between outings. Or bring your kayak and put it in just steps from the house and paddle out to Washburn Island for the day. Seacoast Shores also has it's own beach front within walking distance (.07 miles) from the house, or all of the beautiful Falmouth beaches and of course South Cape Beach State Park in New Seabury. For those who love biking Falmouth has a wonderful paved biking path from Falmouth to Woods Hole. We are 5 miles from downtown Falmouth and 4 miles from Mashpee Commons for incredible shopping and dining.
Beach towels, beach blanket, beach chairs and lounge along with coolers and childrens beach toys like beach boards and noodles are provided.
This cozy home was very clean, with convenient, thoughtful details -- linens provided, for example. There is a double bed in one room and a trundle bed in a second bedroom. There is no dining table indoors, so we spent even more time outside, where the private back yard has a couple of seating areas and a hammock, along with some open space for playing games and enjoying the wildlife. I was especially impressed by how clean everything was, which made it an extremely comfortable stay.
We had a nice week at this property, with our family of four (a 5 and a 7 year old; probably couldn't do if kids much older than this though). Was a great efficiency rental for a family our size and age. House had just enough space for us, and had all the necessities for a beach vacation available including the beach chairs, towel, toys, etc. Really nice not to have had to bring all,of that ourselves! Was nice to have AC and movie channels to enjoy with the spouse after the kids went to bed. Convenient location not that far from Green Pond Fish Market (made a great seafood dinner in-house one evening), and also to Mashpee Commons for a rainy day trip of shopping and a movie.
We had a wonderful time staying in Falmouth at this cottage with our three kids. The house was spotless, functional and cozy upon our arrival and everything was in working condition. Hazel decorated it very tastefully and with comfortable furnishings. We were able to cook and grill every day we stayed, saving money and having the benefit of home cooked food. The house was well stocked with items like soap, paper towels, and more. We were able to eat outside in the screened in gazebo and hang our towels out to dry after the beach. The TV was nice for movie nights and both the bed and couch were super comfortable. Hazel is a very friendly and helpful host who was available right away any time we had a question. We felt immediately comfortable and welcome upon our arrival.
The beach nearby is perfect for families and those just wanting to take a dip. Our kids played in it every day and we had a great time. We also enjoyed Wood Neck beach because it's so dynamic with the tides, all the little tide pools and the natural boogie board "lazy river" that gets really fun when the high tide is coming in. Check the tide charts and bring bug spray though to make sure you get to stay long enough to see the absolutely amazing sunset!
If you go straight on 28, it will take you right into main street Falmouth where there is a great little bookstore for kids with puzzles, pens, board books and novels. There is also an ice-cream shop on the same block. All of the stores are super cute. We also did the Pirate Adventure on Martha's Vineyard and found that to be a charming experience for our 3.5 year old. My advice is to book it really early to avoid traffic and full lots. Also check out the Steamship schedule so you get on the larger ferry which is very luxurious and goes right into Oak Bluffs. Hazel helped us find grocery stores and anything we needed. We ended up using many of the grocery stores and found all of the food to be of good quality. The traffic wasn't even that bad and in our neighborhood the neighbors were extremely quiet and friendly. We enjoyed looking at the stars at night and smelling the clean ocean air.
Overall, we had a fantastic and memorable stay (even with three active kids! haha). We took lots of pictures and will definitely remember this as one of our most warm family memories. We can't recommend Hazel enough for all the hard work she does in going above and beyond to make her guests feel welcome and happy
We had a great summer vacation at Hazel's house. It is very clean and well kept, located in a quiet area and short walk to the beach. There is an A/C in the house and lots of beach stuff in the shed. Hazel is very friendly, always available when we needed her. Strongly recommended and we plan to come again.
We really appreciated our stay at Hazel's house. It was perfect for the two of us. We were there 5 nights and it was too short. It feels like home the minute we opened the door.
We really enjoyed our morning coffee under the gazebo (with birds & rabbit); we biked from Hazel's house to the bike routes, the bikepath and the canal ( we did 50 to 70 km per day).
We spent the afternoon (4 to 6:00 pm) at the nearest beach (Menauhaunt: 5 minutes by car). Nice little beach, not too much people. There are a few beaches at 10 to 15 minutes by car.
Falmouth Center is about 15 minutes by car (very nice town with good restaurants & café) and the groceries are about 10 minutes from the house by car. You will find anything you need :-)
The house was very clean and comfortable. The bed was super; the backyard was great (we had breakfast & supper every night under the gazebo). We had everything we needed in that house! We were happy to get there at the end of the day.
The neighborhood was also very calm at that period (11 to 16th of July).
Hazel is a lovely person. You want her to be your friend.
I am sure we will go back one day!
Thanks again for you kindness Hazel. It was nice meeting you!

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this cozy cottage near the water. It was very well equipped and had all the necessary beach chairs, towels, hammock, toys, etc. that one would need. The house was very clean and perfect for the two of us plus our granddaughters, who spent a couple of nights with us. Both Falmouth and Mashpee are within a 10 minute drive, as are numerous beaches and restaurants. The owner met us and was very welcoming. We will definitely rent again next summer.
