Private, Lakefront 3BR Belfast Home on Mason Pond
average rating of 5.0 based on 14 reviews

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and exactly as listed.

  • 5 of 5

We loved the property and the owners were helpful on recommendations for the area. We enjoyed the pond - swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboating, and paddleboarding. We enjoyed the fresh eggs each morning and being able to collect them. House has everything you could possibly need. They provide sheets and towels and the kotchen has all the gadgets you could need.

Downtown Belfast is close and has quaint shops and restaurants. House is exactly as listed and was perfect for a home away from home getaway.

Beautiful home on amazing property. It's an oasis of it's own.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful, two week stay on Lower Mason Pond. Mark, the owner, was so accommodating and generous. He let our two daughters gather the eggs from the hen house every morning. He was also a great source of information about the area and things to do. Some of our favorite day trips can be attributed to him! The house was clean, spacious and well stocked. The pond was gorgeous and offered so much outdoor entertainment for the family. Both my girls learned to paddle board, kayak and cast a fishing pole. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting coastal Maine.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Exceeded expectations. While we were busy with activities and didn't spend much time on the property we did find the quite and seclusion rest full after busy days. Turned out to be a good choice over the hotel the rest of the group stayed at. Plenty of room and privacy for 4 couples.

Didn't have time to explore the pond in the canoe but it was tempting.

Great place

  • 5 of 5

Everything was as advertised - this is a great place to relax with the family. The house is really nice, well appointed and comfortable. The grounds are pretty extensive and good to explore - and the lake was awesome. Fresh veggies and eggs to eat too.

We had a great time, thanks.

Absolutely the best rental!

  • 5 of 5

Let me start by saying that we rent a house every year in Midcoast Maine. This home by far, exceeded our expectations. The owners, Mark and Todd were extremely kind and helpful. We were welcomed to any fresh vegetables in the garden, and fresh eggs from the chickens. The house is clean, and exceptionally equipped for those who wish to cook. (We love to cook!) The air conditioning was a welcome bonus as it was a bit warmer than usual. The lake is gorgeous, with beach chairs, and equipment to use on the lake is well provided. This house is set up perfectly for two families with the separate kitchens, and living space. Location was perfect. I cannot think of one thing that would be negative. We hope to stay here again!

The property was very inviting and all details were impeccable!

We loved our stay at the property. We were greeted by the property owner with a glass of wine! He gave us a tour and made us feel very welcomed! We loved the privacy of the home with the view of the lake morning and night, which was breathtaking. I felt the location was close to downtown Belfast and the grocery store etc., but we could go back to the home and feel secluded. The property was close to antiques and a short drive to Camden and Islesboro for things to do. It was the best of both worlds!! We had plenty of space for privacy for all of us (11) and 2 dogs! If the dogs could review this property they would give it 5 woofs!! They spent everyday in the pond and had a great time too!! We had several teenage boys who loved being outdoors and the pond kept them from getting bored! We also had my 85 year old father in law who felt right at home with his bedroom close to the bathroom and a nice living room with a flat screen TV. The property was also air conditioned, which was definitely needed for the hot week in July! My daughter and niece loved gathering eggs from the chicken coup everyday and picking fresh vegetables from the garden for dinner. We had a campfire at night with Smores and plenty of grilling outside on the deck! It was a great choice for our family reunion! We have a created lasting memories during our stay at this property!
