Lovely little cabin with a great view!

  • 4 of 5

Rustic cabin from the early 1950's. Very basic bathroom but extremely clean and well taken care of. The bed is quite comfortable and it has a lovely front porch and small kitchen. Everything you need to make exploring the area easy. It is quiet and Walter is great.

My husband and I enjoyed our one and night and morning in the little red cabin. i wished we would have spent more than just one night. It was perfect place to explore the central coastal region. The bed was very comfortable too!

Cozy little cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Little Red Cabin. It's just right for a couple. It's close to everywhere you'd want to go, and the views of Penobscot Bay are fantastic.

The "Little Red Cabin" was a little piece of heaven! I didn't want to leave. I just wanted to stay and look out at the ocean. The view is worth a million dollars! I just wanted a break from the hustle of real life. I took naps, and completely relaxed! The sunrise is breathtaking and HE PROPOSED here! I'm leaving engaged!

The cost is affordable and I can't wait to come back! Walter is really nice and I'm so glad he shares the cabin.

Cute cottage, and affordable vacation option

  • 3 of 5

Stayed for 4 days at the Red cottage. It has a nice well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and functional. The bed was comfortable. Nice sitting porch on the back. Lovely area to walk, just off the main roads between Belfast and Camden.

Suggestions for improvement would be to trim out a few of the trees to allow a view of the water.

Add a table to the deck, as this is really the place you want to sit.

Add comfortable chairs for sitting.

These things would not cost a lot, but would make the cottage more comfortable for spending time in.

It really was a great option as an affordable place to stay in the midcoast, and very nice.

Great little cabin, view slightly obscured though...

  • 3 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay in this small cabin right on the water, however the biggest selling point for us was the "Million Dollar View," and unfortunately when we go there we found that the view was largely blocked by trees and branches that had grown up from the woods below.

Everything else was great, were just disappointed when we wanted to sit on the small deck and enjoy the view, but all we could see were trees.
