The studio is really small (about 10 sq.mt.) with just the room for a double bed, a small kitchenette, a tiny bathroom with low ceiling where the shower water goes all over the place.
The real value of the place is the terrace on two levels which allows a stunning view of the historical center of Rome to 360°.
From S. Peter, to the Pantheon, to the Vittoriano at Piazza Venezia, the surrounding rooftops and down into the ruins of Largo Torre Argentina where Julius Cesar was killed.
Inside the apartment, the view of the Vittoriano looks like a painting on the wall.
You can reach by feet almost every spot of your interest.
A final info: the elevator reaches the 5th floor then you have to climb one more flight of stairs to reach the apartment.
The apartment was pretty much as advertised. We loved the rooftop views. There was also a cab stand around the corner which made it convenient to get around to the sights that we didn't want to walk to.
We had the owner arrange a pick up at the CDG airport for 30 euro and was waiting for us when we arrived. The property is close to everything and you can actually see St. Peter's, Pantheon, and Altare Della Patria. Room was very small, but the 2 patios and views made the stay very enjoyable.
Thank you, Georgio! We were so blessed to stay on a "rooftop of Roma"!!!
A great base to explore Rome. Small accommodation with great views.
I have given this 4 stars because of the stunning roof garden- This is what you are paying for! The apartment is small but for two people this is fine, it has everything you need. I did feel the kitchen could have been a little cleaner on the shelves (I had to re-wash cups and glasses as there were lipstick marks on) and the bathroom could do with a re-decorate as there was mildew on the door. My main complaint was that after the first day we couldn't get any hot water from the shower so I couldn't wash my hair. As previous people had said the bed was really comfortable and we did sleep really well. If the shower situation was sorted I would definitely stay here again, the location couldn't have been better and like I said the roof garden was spectacular!
We had an amazing time in Rome and a big part of that was staying here. The apartment is accurately described in that it's tiny with just a small bathroom and a stove and fridge in the corner. But the deck and the view and the location are the real reason it's worth booking. Maybe not so much in the Winter when the deck isn't really appealing. But for us even in April, we loved starting our morning with coffee on the deck and later watching the sunset with a glass of wine.
From here, you're walking distance to the Forum and the Colosseum. Your also just a few blocks from the Trastevere district which has all of the best restaurants and nightlife. I highly recommend a stay here.
