Elaine and Tom Schroedl
Tom and Elaine Schroedl moved to Telluride in 1973. We love the skiing and hiking in Telluride. It's a very cosmopolitan small town. We manage condos in The Fall Line since 1988. We would love to accommodate you.
Tom and Elaine Schroedl purchased this condo in 1988
We love Telluride and chose The Fall Line because of it's great location near the gondola and walking distance to everything, the Town of Telluride, Town park, and river trail. The Fall Line is more spacious, with a private balcony, than most comparable units.
The Fall Line is quiet. Has underground parking. It's located next to the library, the grocery store, the town park, river trail, and Telluride main street. It's walking distance to everything and is on the bus line. The units are clean and well kept.
Clean and comfortable condo in the heart of Telluride. Tom and Elaine were great hosts, very helpful. Staying in Telluride is $$$$ and this condo is a great value. Highly recommended.
My husband and I stayed in Telluride for 3 nights and this condo was in such a great location! Tom was very easy to work with and he gave great directions to his place. The condo is very dated but we only needed the place for a sleep. We walked everywhere - very convenient. I would go back and stay here again for sure!
We stayed at the condo for two nights. Our hosts were great. They were kind and accommodating. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to friends. We parked our car and walked everywhere. It's a great location and the balcony was great.
I spoke with Tom via telephone a couple of times before arriving, and he is extremely kind and helpful. He mentioned some discounted lift tickets which worked well for my family.
We arrived in a snow storm after a long journey from Tucson and were pleased with the underground parking. I now consider this a must for a winter stay in Telluride, as I stayed dry unloading the car. Tom greeted me and provided keys. When we entered the condo, the heat was already on and the place was clean.
If granite and stainless steel are your thing, this is not your rental. But, look past the dated appliances and you'll find a condo stocked and ready for your needs. The kitchen is very functional, as we cooked a full Christmas turkey dinner. The beds and living room furniture are comfortable, the TV has cable, and the water pressure in the shower is excellent. I'll take good water pressure over slate tile any day!
The balcony is a great addition, even on cold days. We managed to sneak out there a few times to see Tom and his staff keeping the sidewalks free of snow. Many other businesses in town were not concerned about snow removal, and I thought it was a nice touch. While a condo complex, we found it very quiet.
The location is fantastic. While the listing says 2.5 short blocks to the gondola, I can tell you these are SHORT blocks. I walked it each day with a 9 and 10 year old boy without any complaints. On this walk, you'll pass Smuggler's brew pub, always smelled great; Telluride bottle shop (a liquor store); La Marmotte, a cute looking French restaurant, and a couple of ski shops. If you head one block west, you'll arrive at Market at Telluride, a grocery store featuring natural foods. Online, it appears this store is closed. I assure you it is not; new owners purchased it in July. It has a good variety and isn't too expensive. One block north, brings you to Colorado Ave, the main street in Telluride. One the corner is Brown Dog Pizza.
So, everything you need is in walking distance. We never moved our car once we parked. We also never tried the free Galloping Goose town shuttle, but I did notice it stops right across the street at the town library. We ate lunch at New Sheridan Hotel one day and were pleasantly surprised; great ambiance and cocktails.
Tom and his wife are excellent hosts, always checking on garbage level and providing linens. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at the Fall Line for your Telluride vacation.
What can I say.... This place is absolutely perfect if you are looking to be near everything and have it all within a short walking distance.
From the moment you walk in the door there is a place and space for everything making it so easy to store gear, get organized and start enjoying yourself within minutes of your arrival.
We stayed with our 16 year old daughter and she had the time of her life. Perfect location - close to all the downtown restaurants, grocery store a block away and the lift and gondola only a 5 min walk. The condo is fully equipped with everything that you need for cooking, relaxing and enjoying all the comforts of home.
My daughter enjoyed the little bakery down the street --- she could walk down there and we had no worries. The store and bakery can been seen from our balcony so we were able to give her a little freedom in exploring.
We enjoyed having an early breakfast and were ready for the slopes when they opened. We loved being able to cook meals and enjoyed the quiet evenings together of exploring the town or just relaxing watching TV.
The owners were able to accommodate our early arrival and everything was delivered as promised. We hope to return to Telluride and will definitely look to book with these owners again.
FYI --- Places as a must for visits....Brown Dog Pizza (delicious), the Shanghi Palace (family style servings) fantastic and great value down a couple doors from Brown Dog Pizza, and Baked...the cookies were awesome. All within minutes from the doorstep of the condo.
Thank you for making our Christmas vacation
We had a wonderful stay at The Fall Line recently. Tom and Elaine are very nice people and so accomodating. Our condo was very clean and had everything we needed. Would certainly recommend to others. It is conveniently located within a short distance to shopping, restaurants, the gondola and to a grocery store. The elevator was a nice convenience for us too. The weather was beautiful during our stay and sitting on the balcony was fun when not out and about.
The Fall Line is conveniently located in the Town of Telluride just 2 1/2 blocks from ski lift #8, free gondola, 1 block from the Telluride Town Park Festival site, library, bakery, grocery, river trail and main street shops and restaurants.
