This was an awesome place to stay for our visit to Santa Monica! The unit is located within walking distance of the beach, the Pier, Third Street Promenade, movies, groceries, etc. It was so nice to have private parking, although it is a tight spot to fit into the garage so the smaller the vehicle the better. The unit was quiet, peaceful, and clean. Laundry facilities in the unit were an added bonus. Direction for getting to the unit and getting inside were seamless and easy. Payment and communication with the property managers was fast and they always answered our questions. Our security deposit was refunded within a day of our check out. Our family of four had a wonderful time here!!!! Thank you so much!
The major reason we chose this place and paid the higher rates (than other nearby 1 bed units) was the representation that it had 1.5 bathrooms. This is not accurate. There was only one toilet. I think that 1.5 baths means that there are 2 toilets and at least 2 sinks and one shower. We were greatly disappointed and think that the representation in the ad was unfair.
This is the second time we have stayed in this rental and its just adorable. it has a parking garage, Its private and comfortable, very clean amd perfect.
the rental company cannot do enough to make your stay fab. we love Santa Monica, its a short walk to Vons, Starbucks and to Main Street where the shops have everything you may want. the sea is five minutes walk and we enjiy walking to Venice for drinks in the sunshine. perfect perfect perfect.
After a 14 hour flight from Australia, my husband and I were tired and a little disoriented. But we had no trouble finding our way into the cool peaceful bedroom of this apartment after a short taxi ride from LAX--Tina made it all so easy! After a few hours of restful sleep, we went exploring, and that's when we realised what a great choice this apartment had been. It's in such a beautiful neighbourhood, and so close to everything. We walked down to the beach, along the waterfront, and watched the sunset from under the pier. Then we wandered up to Third Street Promenade and found a great Mexican rstaurant for tapas and margaritas, then dinner. And then it was an easy walk back to the apartment. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed, in a lovely building with only a few other guests--who we never saw or heard. Over the next few days, we walked a few blocks down Montana Ave and did some shopping at the Pavilions supermarket (wine and antipasto mostly for us!), had a great Italian dinner at Spumoni on Montana (delicious gnocchi!), and even enjoyed a wonderful massage at The Massage Place on Montana. Our most memorable meal was probably brunch at Huckleberry Cafe on Wilshire Blvd--Green Eggs and Ham to die for! And every day we made our way to the beach or Palisades Park (two blocks away) to watch the sun melt into the Pacific. Magical!
Honestly, we were only looking for a few quiet days in Santa Monica to recover from the flight--a jumping off point for our five week trip to the US--but instead we found ourselves enchanted by this homey apartment, in a gorgeous neighbourhood, wishing we had more time to explore LA from here. Next time I guess :) Truly the best welcome to the US we could have asked for.
My wife & I needed a place to stay to visit our daughter, a local resident. This apt. was a great choice for us. It is very clean, it is up to date with modern appliances, has recessed lighting, it is quiet, and is walking distance to the overpass which leads to the beach, as well as to a variety of stores including a grocery store (5 blocks) and the infamous promenade. If you have a car, the garage is plenty big with ample space for both a car and bicycles. Extra bath towels were provided and also beach towels. Our daughter was impressed as she is very familiar with the types of apt’s being offered in that area. She was further impressed it has central air conditioning, something that is not all that common for this area. It has an open floor plan providing a spacious feeling. Large flat screen tv, an updated shower/bath with strong water flow from shower head round out this lovely apt. One minor suggestion for improvement is to have a solid door where the toilet is located instead of a door with smoked glass as when someone uses the commode in the middle of the night the light can be disrupting to the person that is still sleeping. We thoroughly enjoyed this accomodation and would definitely stay here again.
This property is just as advertised! It is very clean and the location is perfect. It is walking distance to the beach, 3rd street promenade, and the Santa Monica Pier. The bed is very comfortable. The check-in and check-out was easy and went smoothly. Having a place to park was also ideal. I would recommend checking out the place before grocery shopping - we bought our own condiments/spices, but the unit has all the necessary pots, pans and dishes. I would highly recommend this place!
