Clean home. Great location

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay here. We traveled with our two children (ages 2 and 10). House had everything we needed, was very clean and close proximity to just about anywhere. The house is on a busy street so we did hear cars at night and headlights into the bedroom window. Also a couple of nights heard helicopters (I’m assuming from the hospitals which are near by) but that was an easy trade off for us because we wanted to be in location where we could easily access restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc...

The back yard is large and beautifully landscaped. Our kids loved playing back there.

Very comfortable home and location was reasonable for airport, riverwalk, SeaWorld, etc.

Clean home, nice setup for our family, worked well for our dog who enjoyed the backyard. Had a problem with the kitchen sink - Don was right there and resolved the problem.

Beautiful landscaping

  • 5 of 5

We found this property when looking for a place to stay during our airman's graduation. Imagine trying to bring you airman back to a hotel on his/her town pass...doesn't work very well. This was perfect. Very hot outside, but with all the shade trees and landscaping, we were still able to spend time in the beautifully landscaped and fenced back yard (saw a doe and her fawns on the other side of the fence). We also brought along our small dog. She loved the space. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some quality family time. Thanks Don & Cheri!

Nothing to fuss about

  • 5 of 5

Just spent the month of February at this wonderful home. We are kind of old and kind of fussy but there was nothing to fuss about here. You walk through the front door to a beautiful tile entryway and the lovely tile continues throughout the home. This home isn't fancy, it's just plain comfortable and clean. The fenced backyard is absolutely gorgeous and our dog enjoyed it just as much as we did. The location is convenient to most everything and the garage was icing on the cake. Thank you Don for the use of your lovely home.

Owner's Response: Pat and Bill were wonderful guests! We had some great conversations as I worked on our yard and got to be good friends. I actually missed those conversations the last two weeks of their stay as I was busy at work. They left a wonderful note, and a gift of Bill's favorite Kentucky Bourbon. We would love to have them back at any time. Thanks for choosing our home and for the great review!

Fantastic, Pet-Friendly Property -- We LOVED it and are renting it again in December

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time my wife and I traveled with our little dog, Blackie, and we were very concerned about whether the house would be pet friendly (especially about things like the back yard being secure and there not being carpet where other dogs had peed -- even a good dog like her can't resist marking over someone else's scent). When we arrived at this lovely property, our fears were vanquished. The back yard is AMAZING (the photos do not do it justice -- it is huge and beautifully landscaped and pet safe for a small dog -- the fence is a little low, so if you have a jumper you might not want to leave your dog out there alone) and the majority of the house is tiled, so no worries there. The bedrooms are carpeted, so we just closed off the other bedrooms and she joined us in the master, or in her bed which we had brought with her.

The kitchen is small but VERY nicely appointed with plates, silverware, pots & pans -- my wife even baked cookies one night. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the area. The neighborhood is quiet; this is in a nice part of town. We had no concerns about walking the dog at night. The house is on a busy street, though it's not loud, so we took the dog around the corner and walked on the side streets. One thing I LOVED was being able to park my sedan in the garage. I have to say, though, if you have a large truck or SUV, you might not be able to fit a wide vehicle in the garage -- if not there is plenty of room for you in the driveway (you won't have to park on the street). Speaking of the roads, I had appointments at the UT Medical Center, and even with heavy traffic, it only took me 15 minutes to get there. This was SUPER CONVENIENT in that regard.

During the stay, we had a question about something and Don came out very quickly. We had a wonderful chat with him. We had such a fantastic experience that we have already booked it again for a few days in December.
