We all wanted to thank you for such a lovely stay in your beautiful rental home. The house was clean and felt very welcoming! The perfect place to unwind after a fun filled day with family and friends. Our one year old loved all the space to stretch her baby legs! We will definitely be checking your availability when we return. We have placed the dirty linens in the hamper and we hope we completed the recycling correctly. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
My girlfriend and I have rented this house for New Years with 2 other couples (6 people all together). On our way there, we were pleasantly surprised that Cindy called and asked how long it will take us to get there so she can plow snow off of the driveway. Thank you again Cindy! The house looked just as described on the pictures. It was spacious, plenty of room for everybody, nicely clean and warm. You don’t need to bring any kitchen utensils, bowls, or anything like that the house was fully equipped. Since it was cold outside we were mostly in the house and one thing which each of us pointed out was the TV itself and the fact that we couldn’t really watch the Times Square Ball Drop. Also, we had some trouble with Internet, but that may have been an issue because of the snow and cold ;) I’m pretty sure Cindy will make improvements for other renters to come. Nevertheless, nothing stopped us from having fun. Although, it was very cold outside we still went out by the river where the fire pit is located. Really, there was nothing better than starting a fire and all of us enjoyed it very much for a good few hours on the fresh, cold and crisp air. Generally we had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the nature around it, too. Also, I have to mention that the town was a mesmerizing beauty with friendly people and lots of things to do.We'll definitely be visiting during summer to explore the area broader.
Kendall, thanx for bringing air mattresses ;)
Keith thanx for helping out with a spare of keys while we locked up the door :)
Great little getaway! Super clean! Great River access for fishing and relaxing! Super private! Looking forward to staying again in the near future!
Clean and comfortable, this house is perfect for a quiet country getaway. We had tickets to a show at Bethel Woods and decided to make a long weekend out of it. After unpacking on Thursday, we headed up to Long eddy to the Long Eddy Saloon for dinner. It was barbecue night. Went kayaking on the river on Friday (rented gear from Soaring Eagle Campground north on Route 97). Saturday was rainy so we took a walk north on River Rd. to the end and back. The concert was Saturday night. Sunday, we drove up to Lordville and hiked the Bouchoux trail which overlooks the river; great views! Will definitely be back.
The house is set back from the river and road. There is a path to the river where there is a hammock and fire pit. The kitchen is well appointed and stocked with all the basic staples you might need. There is AC but it wasn't too hot when we were there so we had it on FAN mode most of the time. There are also lots of ceiling fans. There is a deck in back with table and chairs and chairs on the front porch where you can sit even if it is raining.
Hope to be able to come back next year!
After continuously hard working schedule , sometime you just want to relax and not doing anything but rest...
This house is very clean and great for everything
simply rest.. Away from all....or having fun in river (which 1min walk from house)...or visit small town stores for shopping.. camp fire by river..beautiful stars at night.
Cindy was very nice to let us stay few hours longer than regular check out time..it was just trip that I was hoping for.
I will come back here anytime I need rest and having fun same time.
10 Star service 10 star location !!
Rented the home for a fishing trip with my cousin. The home was perfect for us the location was beautiful right on the river in a beautiful spot. The home was extremely clean the kitchen facilities and cookware were very adequate for our needs. I Especially liked the home having a washer and dryer, I had rented a home the year prior that did not have a clothes washer and dryer and it was a big inconvenience. The owners of the home we're extremely nice and accommodating. I intend to stay again.
Had a fantastic weekend stay. Place is super clean and full of all the kitchen equipment you could need. There is a huge backyard and front porch. It was a bit too cold for us to use the outdoor space but there was also a grill and a fire pit. Appreciated the cookies left as a welcome. Would recommend the house and definitely hope to stay there again!
