Great location...

  • 3 of 5

The rental is a very quite homey place. There should be a designated parking space, you may have ride around for awhile or park around a corner. The water pressure was very low, so there was always problems with the toilets & kitchen sink.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately we are not allowed to block off a spot on the street since it's public parking. As you can see from many of our other reviews, guests often find a spot within a block often right in front of the home. Thank you for letting us know about the water pressure, we have had it looked at and repaired.

Great place!

We had a great stay at this house. The house is very nice and updated and has everything you would need. The location is central and convenient, it is a short drive to downtown, seaport village, the zoo, Coronado, etc. The hosts responded quickly when we had a few questions during our stay. There is no dedicated parking, but we were always able to find a spot within a block or two of the house. Also, there is a significant homeless population that lives a few blocks away on the I-5 overpass, but we did not have any issues with them, and they didn't even seem to venture over to the block where the house is on.

Overall it is a great house in a great location, I would highly recommend it and would stay again in the future!

Perfect stay for our family.

  • 4 of 5

We booked a trip to San Diego (sort of last minute) for myself, my husband and our 18 month old.

Urban Oasis was a perfect spot for us. It's very true to the pictures in the ad. It is a lovely little home with a little private backyard which is nice when you want to have a drink or meal outside. We travelled with our toddler and this place was fully equipped. Pack and Play, high chair, baby cups, plates, etc. That was so incredibly helpful as we didn't have to lug it on the plane.

The place has everything you need - we ate at home when we could and they have all of the kitchen appliances you would want/need.

I have to admit, we didn't know San Diego other than through research so when we arrived we were unsure whether or not it was a good neighbourhood, etc. However, it's a very safe neighbourhood. Neighbours were friendly, etc. You do need a car to get around SD in general though. For instance, you could walk to gaslamp quarter but it's a bit of a hike...

All in all, a great place to rent especially with a toddler!

Wonderful stay.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for two weeks in October 2014, with our (then) 1 year old.

We loved staying here. The property was really well appointed - it had everything we needed and more. Michelle very kindly ensured that we had a high chair and travel cot (pack and play) for our little one, and stair gate from the deck down to the garden.

Accomodation is all on one level, which for us, was great with a toddler. And we made great use of the private deck and garden.

Location & Neighbourhood: We walked (often) to the Gas lamp area and were an easy 10 - 15 minute drive from the main attractions and beach. On street parking (close to the property) was never an issue and we never felt unsafe.

It was our first time booking through HomeAway and were a little apprehensive but I can honestly say In addition to the property, what made our holiday a pleasure was dealing with Michelle. She couldn't have been more helpful: great communication beforehand, answering all my questions. She arranged for groceries to be in the property for our arrival and also facilitated a late check out. All of which was REALLY appreciated (particularly as we were travelling with a little one).

Cute house- lovely interior. We were in town for a conference at the convention center-a 30-45 minute walk or $6 Uber.

Wonderful stay in the heart of San Diego

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home! The host was extremely accommodating with our arrival and departure times and the house was just as pictured/described. It had everything we needed for our short stay in San Diego and more! The house was extremely comfortable and clean. The area was perfect for being close to downtown and all San Diego tourist areas. We had a car available and parking at night was never an issue. We could also walk a short amount of time to downtown, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. if needed. We never felt unsafe at all in this neighborhood even with our 1.5 yr old! Would have loved to stay longer and will definitely stay here again when visiting San Diego!

Owner's Response: We appreciate when guests leave feedback as it helps other travelers feel more confident in their choice. The home is located so close to all of San Diego's top attractions!. There is free street parking. We also gave this family early and late checkouts as we understand how it is traveling with small children. We always try to accommodate requests like this when we can. We also provide pak-n-play, high chair, beach toys etc to help the lil ones have fun too!
