Welcome to our lake home. We love it and hope that you do too. It is large enough to accommodate up to 14 comfortably. Enjoy family or friend time with breathtaking views of Deviltrack Lake from many rooms, a cozy fire in the master suite or family room, or games on the lawn including playing bocce, badmitten or frisbee. There is also a fire pit by the lake for evening campfires and roasting marshmallows. Whether you have a large family or multiple families, this is the perfect oasis with many amenities.
Grand Marais is well known for its spectacular outdoor activities year round. Go hiking on the Superior trail, go mountain biking at Lutsen, go sea kayaking in Lake Superior, or just relax by the shore with your favorite friends and a cool refreshment. There is a 9 hole golf course just down the street, and a championship 27 hole course in Lutsen.
In wintertime enjoy downhill skiing at the Midwest's biggest and best ski area, Lutsen Mountain. The cross country skiing boasts some of the best conditions along with great views for all ability levels. Snowshoeing is also a great way to explore the forests! We also have the best snowmobile trails in northern Minnesota. There are local rental outfitters if you need.
For those who are looking to see the majestic moose, they are sometimes as close as our private road.
Grand Marais is widely known for its arts community. There are galleries, live theatre, dragon boat races, and much more. We have a plethora of outstanding restaurants, shops, and of course the North House Folk School.
Please enjoy also the use of the canoe and kayaks located near the shore. Please bring along proper life jackets.

We are life long Minnesotans who live in the Minneapolis area and started exploring the Grand Marais area hiking and skiing many years ago.
Brian Rambol purchased this cabin in 1998
We found Grand Marias had the most to offer for our recreation needs. This is our second cabin on Deviltrack lake. We like the outdoor activities and also like the flexibility of being able to enjoy the lake not only by paddle but motorboat too.
We wanted to be able to share this wonderful place with others. With the size of this home it is very comfortable for 2 or even 3 families. It is the most convenient location to downtown Grand Marais from an inland lake and yet very quiet at the same time.
Grand Marais is such an incredible area and there is so much to see and do along the Lake Superior shore and finding the right spot to stay, just makes the experience even better! This cabin on Deviltrack Lake is the perfect location for a family get together. There was ample space for adult children and grandchildren with plenty of comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate all. My favorite area was the kitchen/dinning and TV nook that allowed for all to be close for food prep and visiting and then to share a meal around the great big table. Views down to the lake from this same living area are a pleasure from sunrise to sunset. Water activities with kayaks and canoes provided, lawn games and evening fires by the water, were a daily occurrence. This cabin is comfortable and clean and has a family oriented feel throughout. Brian is very prompt, accommodating and helpful and I know this is a place we will return to.
Our family rented the cabin on DevilTrack Lake for a small-family reunion and had a great time. It was quite big. Well cleaned and had a good layout with 4 full bathrooms that accommodated everyone nicely. It had a smart layout that hindered entrance of mosquitoes and flies. It was really close to Grand marais which was ideal town for both those more comfortable with city life and the outdoorsy of the group. Thus it was close to some gorgeous hiking and portage trails. We enjoyed the lake and access was easy with a small dock and supplies for kayaking and canoeing. The kitchen was well-stocked with articles but definitely bring your own food and spices. The owner answered questions very quickly. I would recommend this cabin. Much thanks to them!
Having grown up on the North Shore of Lake Superior, it was my dream to someday take our kids and grandkids there for a family vacation someday. This property was the only one I could find that could accommodate all of us under one roof, and what a perfect place it was! The sleeping quarters were tailor-made for our family units. The entire house was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen was large, well-stocked, and had a refrigerator/freezer large enough to hold all the groceries we bought. During the days we swam, hiked, enjoyed the last part of the Fishermen's Picnic (our son and son-in-law won the annual Grand Marais fish toss!), ate indoors and outdoors at the picnic tables, played games (don't bother to bring your own; this place has an amazing selection), did jigsaw puzzles, and thoroughly enjoyed being all together. Every evening we had a campfire, complete with s'mores, and we enjoyed watched the Olympics in the cozy TV area. We even had our own first annual family Olympics on the lawn, complete with team names, an opening ceremony, and four competitive events. One day we splurged and all went to Naniboujou (15 minutes northeast of Grand Marais on Highway 61) for lunch, because I wanted my family to experience that wonderful place. My heart will be filled for a very long time with all the memories that were made because of this beautiful property. The website pictures of it were beautiful, but it still far exceeded our expectations. We will be forever grateful for the owners of this property making it available for others to enjoy, and we definitely hope to schedule another vacation here in the future!
Had another wonderful vacation at Rambol Inn with grown kids and grandkids! This property has enough bedrooms and baths to accommodate lots of people and several areas for quiet reading or movie watching. Great big lakefront yard area with canoes and kayaks to take out on the water! Our grandkids all think THIS is the best vacation they take all year! Can't wait to return! Brian is great to work with and always responds! Looking forward to next year!
Group of eight guys stayed at this property and everyone loved the property.
Could not believe that the kitchen was stocked as well if not better than our own homes.
The bedrooms were all large and all the beds were comfortable.
More than enough bathrooms for everyone to use.
Never even went on one of the decks because we didn't need the space.
The canoe, kayaks and life jackets were great.
Used the Bocce balls and games that were available.
This is one of the best properties we have used on VRBO.
Fantastic Property!!! Had a fabulous stay!! Thanks.
My family spent 6 days at the cabin. We had seven adults and four children, and we had plenty of room for everyone. The layout is great because we could use baby monitors in the bedrooms so we could hear what was happening while we read, played games, or talked in other parts of the house. The kids were able to get to sleep without our conversations disturbing them. There are plenty of board games for rainy times. The yard is large enough for tossing frisbees or kicking around a soccer ball. Several people went out in the canoes and kayak. We all enjoyed sitting on the dock and just relaxing. There were even a pair of loons and a baby that we heard often and saw close-up several times. We could all gather around the dining table for meals and weren't cramped at all. There is a deck, screened porch, game room, reading areas, tv viewing spot. Grand Marais isn't far away so we were able to get groceries, treat ourselves to donuts, walk to the lighthouse, and poke around in the shops. The cabin has plenty of bath and kitchen linens, pots and pans, glassware, silverware, and dishware. We were happy to find a half bath conveniently located near the dining room because we had a couple preschoolers in the group, and we were a little worried that they might have to make it to one of the bathrooms in the bedroom wings when they needed to get to a potty quickly. Not a problem. One thing we would have appreciated is some labels on the light switches. We never did figure out what some of them turned on, and we were often flummoxed about which switch turned on the overhead lights in the game room! Eventually managed to find them. Brian always responded to email messages promptly and answered questions thoroughly. We highly recommend his home.
