Gorgeous, quaint, and perfectly located!
The pictures are spot on! This house is gorgeous. It is located at the end of Forsyth Park, near an up and coming neighborhood. There is free street parking. The house is huge and this rental space is spacious. Our family of 5 (three adults and two young kids) fit comfortably. It is a great way to truly explore Savannah. Dianne is easily accessible and provides all of the basic items for the home. Note: there is no big TV, if you want that. We don't watch tv so it wasn't an issue, but just so you are aware. While we were there Dianne was having the roof repaired (it is an old home so there are some leaks), and it was a bit noisy. She was very nice to give us a $100 gift certificate to compensate for the inconvenience. She didn't have to do that, but volunteered to! And she came by to speak to the workers about the noise level. We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again! Thanks for everything, Dianne! - Vanessa & Family
Than you for the great review and your understanding with the roof repairs. You were wonderful guests
What a great VRBO experience!!
We rented for Saint Patrick's Day 2018 and we were overjoyed with the place. It's clean, spacious and right on the park. Dianne was very easy to work with and even stopped by to make sure everything was ok. We LOVED sitting on the porch. Parking was easy and the place was spotless. We definitely recommend this to anyone!!!
Beautiful Savannah home
We thoroughly enjoyed our girls’ weekend stay at this beautiful property! The home and grounds are meticulously maintained and we found them spotless. We loved enjoying our coffee on the little veranda overlooking Forsyth Park each morning and returning from our Savannah explorations to relax in the large and comfortable sitting room at night. The location couldn’t have been better, situated on a street where all the trolleys (paid and free) picked up, so our travel throughout the city was seamless.
The kitchen is small but was perfectly adequate for our needs. While we wouldn’t want to cook a big dinner here, we enjoyed breakfast each morning and the occasional takeout meal in the beautiful high-ceiled dining room.
As others have mentioned, the traffic noise in the bedrooms is substantial. While it didn’t trouble our sleep to any great degree, light sleepers might find this a challenge. Wi-Fi was smooth on the main floor but was intermittent in the bedrooms. Beds were comfortable and the bed linens were adequate; we might recommend adding a couple of additional blankets during this cool time of year. The pillows have definitely passed their usable life—very flat and uncomfortable.
A couple of glitches kept our stay from being perfect: The dishwasher didn’t work properly throughout our stay. We reported this to Diana the first day but it was never resolved. And as the weather was very chilly throughout our stay, we would have appreciated the use of the fireplaces, as it was indicated that they were operable. However, when we asked Diana to show us how to use them, as was requested in the house directions, she declined, citing insurance liability.
With these issues resolved, this would be an absolutely perfect home from which to explore this exciting and beautiful city. We loved our stay and would definitely return to this property!
We loved having you stay with us and are sorry for any glitches you had.
I will check the pillows right away although we change them out every few months. I wish I could allow the gas fireplaces to be used but unfortunately insurance will not allow.
A part had to be ordered for the dishwasher and it was fixed the next day. I apologize for any inconvenience.
This home is stunning inside and out! The location is wonderful with a bus stop a short stroll down the street. Parking is a bit of a challenge but when you find a space in front of the house just leave your car there and ride the bus! The house is furnished beautifully and the photos don't do it justice. The bathroom in the blue bedroom is stunning and that gorgeous tub got a lot of use during our stay! There is no TV in the downstairs living area but we didn't seem to miss it as there are TV's in both of the bedrooms upstairs. Our only criticism is of the very small under the counter refrigerator in the kitchen area. We would have enjoyed having a refrigerator with an ice maker and more storage space for all the leftovers we brought back from all the amazing restaurants we visited.
Absolutely Perfect ! !
Everything was Great. Thank you. Chad and Larissa Chambers.
