With all of the options of places to stay on the Big Island, why choose my condo? Here are a few reasons:

1. Spectacular Views! Instead of a peak-a-boo view, this 3 bedroom, 3 bath corner condo features a totally unobstructed Ocean, Mtn, and Sunset Views, and the Coastline nearly all the way to Kona.

2. Location is superb, one of the first exits at Waikoloa Village for easy and fast in and out. Great central location near all of the best sandy beaches on the Big Island.

3. The weather is superb. With only 12 inches of annual rainfall and common tradewinds, it tends to stay clear, warm and dry.

4. Rates as low as $106 per night (30 day stay, low season) for a fully furnished, privately owned, large 3 bedroom, 3 bath condominium with these amenities and views.

From the moment you set foot in this 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 1300 square foot Condominium, you will be immersed in the “Aloha Spirit”. This corner unit at Waikoloa Greens truly has a beautiful layout. This condo has many upgrades including Brazilian Cherry wood laminate flooring in all of the bedrooms and throughout the upstairs. The living room is laminate flooring as well. Tile flooring appoints the baths and kitchen. Beautiful granite kitchen counters and stainless steel appliances. Many more upgrades as well.

Each Bedroom has it’s own bath, ceiling fan and sliding glass door out to it’s own lanai. The kitchen and living room (with bay window and ceiling fan) and master bedroom have stunning views of the ocean, Hualalai Mountain and beautiful tropical sunsets. It is decorated throughout with Hawaiian furnishings, rattan furniture and Hawaiian photos. The living room is appointed with a 48 flat screen tv, surround sound, stereo and dvd/cd player. Wireless Internet and cable tv are also provided . We also have installed flat screen tvs in both the master bedroom and the queen bedroom.

The condo is well equipped with washer/dryer, beach towels, cooler, boogie boards, beach chairs, etc. The beautifully remodeled kitchen has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped with dishes, microwave, toaster oven, blender, cooking utensils and everything you will need to prepare meals if you so choose on your vacation.

There is a king bed in the master, a queen in the second bedroom and a twin trundle bed, that makes into a king in the third bedroom which doubles as an office/den.

There are abundant bbqs on site and a very nice heated pool and hot tub that were just redone. Tennis courts, play ground facilites and exercise facility 100’ away. There is also another pool, tennis courts and more for your use nearby.

Location, Location, Location:

Overlooking the Kohala Coast, Waikoloa Village is in a perfect location from which to launch your exploration of the Big Island. We are fortunate to experience some of the best weather on the island. Rarely do we experience the vog that sometimes plagues other parts of the island. The weather is in the 80's Fahrenheit year round during the day, and around 70 Fahrenheit at night, which makes it warm during the day and cool enough at night to sleep. Restaurants, sightseeing and shopping:

You are located a short stroll from the Waikoloa Village featuring a large grocery store complete with fresh butcher, deli and bakery, a bank, health food store, restaurants, bars and other shops for your convenience.

Banji's Bar and Grill is a short drive with great food and a generous happy hour.

There are over 20 other restaurants located in the Waikoloa Beach area including Tommy Bahamas, Ruth Chris, Roy’s, The Tropics Ale House, the Sansai Seafood Restaurant and Sushi Bar and many more. The Dolphin Quest at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach area is also about 10 minutes away with it's restaurants and shopping.

You can experience world class shopping at the King and Queens shops of Waikoloa. 15-20 minutes North of Waikoloa is a town called Waimea, or Kamuela, which is home to world famous restaurants, such as Merriman's and Daniel Thiebauts, as well as being home to the famous Parker Ranch Paniolos (Hawaiian Cowboys).

Kona town is a 30 minute drive to the South, where you will find the Kona Brewery, The Kona Inn, Huggos by the Sea and many other fine restaurants and plenty of shops. Costco is located between Kona and the airport.

You are also just a short drive to catch Saddle Road which will take you to the Hilo side where you can check out Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, Waipi’o Valley and many other sights and waterfalls along the Hamakua Coast. You are also a 2 hour scenic drive from the Mauna Kea Summit and observatories, or the same distance from Kilauea, Hawaii’s live volcano.


Waikoloa Village Golf Course is your backyard. It is a par 72. It plays to 6,791 yards and is situated at the 1,000 ft elevation overlooking the beautiful Kohala Coast. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and as our guest you will receive discounted green fees. Many other exceptional courses await you nearby.


There are many places to snorkel including 69s Beach or any of the access points along Puako Road which is a short drive away. Mauna Lani, A- Bay, Mauna Kea, are also some excellent choices. If you don't mind the drive, there is outstanding snorkeling at Kahaluu Bay, which is 7 miles south of Kona. (about a 35 minute drive) Here you will see large numbers of very friendly, colorful fish, and lots of Green Sea Turtles. (you don’t even have to get into the water to see the turtles, just look in the tide pools and on the rocks) If you want the very best, either Kayak or take a snorkel cruise to Kealakekua Bay (Captain Cook’s Monument). It is the very best snorkeling I have experienced in the Islands with over 100 feet of visibility. Honaunau Bay (Place of Refuge) is also nearby.

Why Gary Bodine chose Kohala Coast

I have literally been wanting to buy something in Hawaii from our first trip,but never quite found the right place until 2011. From the moment I set foot in this unit, I knew it was the right one. It is bright and sunny from literally sun up until sunset, and you get to enjoy both from any of the four lanais. It is located in Waikoloa which is known for its tradewinds that keep it a comfortable temperature night or day, year round. It is completely furnished in Hawaiin furnishings to immerse you in the Aloha Spirit from the time you enter until the time you leave.

What makes this condo unique

To put the weather in perspective, when they build here in Waikoloa Village, they have no need for a heating system, most do not have any need for air conditioning and they do not use insulation. Now this is where God intended us to live! We love to bbq and enjoy the beautiful sunsets from our condo. From that first sip of Kona coffee enjoying the glorious morning sunshine on one of the East Lanais, to the last rays of golden sun setting on the vast Pacific Ocean while enjoying your pauhana drink on one of the West Lanais, you will know why we love it here so much. Snorkeling, swimming, golf, shopping, sightseeing , or just being a beach bum are just a few of things to do, all nearby, while staying at our condo.

Each Bedroom has its own lanai, plus there is a lanai off of the living room. Very quick access to all of the best beaches on the Big Island and a short drive to Waikoloa Queens and KIngs Markets. Walking distance to Waikoloa Village Market, nice grocery store, resaurants and shops. Located on the second floor with only 1/2 a flight of stairs! This is a privately owned, 3 bedroom, 3 bath corner unit (one of only 6) in the Paniolo Greens complex, located right on the Waikoloa Golf Course. This is not to be confused with the other timeshare units being offered by Shell Management.

Great place to stay.

Cute place. Coffee, store and places to shop just down the road. I had two other ladies with me and the place was perfect. Gary has some beach stuff that really saved us a lot of money so we didn't have to rent or buy our own things, the small coolers were specially convenient. Property had a pool and workout area so during the hot part of the day, there were still things to do. I felt safe in the neighborhood, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking to spend a week or more in Hawaii!

Great condo

We stayed in this condo for nine nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. As a corner unit it has an unobstructed view looking out toward the ocean and closer in of the neighborhood park. Groups of wild turkeys saunter by routinely just off the main deck. The condo is very well equipped in the kitchen as well as with beach gear. It is centrally located allowing for just a short drive to the best beaches and the resort areas with restaurants and shops. We were able to easily travel to an excellent hike past the town of Hawi as well as the visitor center of Mauna Kea. In the neighborhood, you can walk to a grocery store, the Lava Java coffee shop and other restaurants. The community pool with hot tub and exercise equipment is just across the street. We loved our visit and would definitely return if we had the opportunity.

Great Condo in a central location

Gary's condo was great for us during our month on the Big Island while our daughter went to school and worked. The location was central to the beaches and getting into Kona or going up to Waimea. The property was nicely appointed and we felt right at home. The views are astounding from the mountain of Mauna Kea to the sunsets in the West over the sea.

Stunning view

The place was very clean. There was enough room for all in our party. Loved the pool and hot tub. They even had a basketball hoop for my daughter to practice her basketball.

We stayed here because my aunt had a time share in the same complex. This unit had a lot of amenities like beach chairs, boogie boards, coolers, and even little things like cooking oil. My aunts unit had to rent many of those things.

The view from the back of the place was stunning. We watched the sunset from there every night. In the master bedroom I felt like I was sleeping under he stars.

The only complaint I had was that the sheets in the master bedroom could use replaced. They were a little bumpy but I still slept fine.

Very Relaxing

We spent 8 days in the condo and found it to be ideally located. It was also clean and quiet at night. Staying here really fit with our style- active and on the go but also liking to linger over breakfast in our PJs before heading out for the day. We lacked for nothing as the place was well appointed. Thank you Gary for having such an awesome place to escape to!

Wonderful Condo!

We spent a month at Gary's condo this summer. We had a fabulous time. The condo was well appointed and exactly what we wanted and needed. The views are absolutely spectacular. The location is great--close to the beaches, Waimea, the Saddle Road to get to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park, etc. Everything you could ask for and more!
