Enjoy the beautiful sunset and watch Charleston's resident pod of dolphins as you stay on our 2 Bedroom/2 bathroom 34' yacht! Park for free at our fantastic location on the Ashley River and the peninsula of beautiful downtown Charleston, SC. Walk to a Riverdog's baseball game (single-A affiliated with the Yankees), or simply watch the stadium's fireworks from the comfort of the yacht's deck while sipping a cocktail. Cross the street to Crosby's Seafood to pick up some fresh fish and shellfish to throw on the grill for a special meal. We are right around the corner from the Citadel (go Bulldogs!), and minutes away from the shopping and nightlife of King Street. Charleston's southern charm, historic mansions, and world-renowned restaurants will be at your fingertips!
The yacht has a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, waffle maker, coffee maker, toaster oven) along with a gas grill on the back deck overlooking the Ashley River. We have access located on the marina dock for larger meals under a covered pavilion. We supply kitchen necessities, grilling utensils, and a fully stocked spice rack for those who like to cook. There are 3 flat screen TVS with two blue ray players, and plenty of board games. No Fear with children as their is a first class playground in the park adjacent to the boat 200 yards away. The Forward Bedroom has a 42' Samsung Flatscreen if you decide to stay hunkered in for a movie night (the nearest Redbox is about a mile away). The main bedroom in the Aft (rear) of the boat has a custom-made memory foam mattress that feels like a supportive cloud. Both bedrooms have amazing down comforters. Take advantage of the boat's central heat and air, or open all the hatches and windows to let the sea breeze flow through. Fresh linens and towels provided. Cable and Wifi included.

Truly terrific boat! My friend and I stayed for a weekend and there was plenty of room, and not far from the shops and restaurants downtown ($7-$8 uber ride). I would highly recommend this boat!
We thoroughly enjoyed this stay. Great location, within 5 minutes of most attractions. Every was delivered as promised and more. We'd use again.
This was our first experience staying on a boat. Our group ages ranged from 64 to 74. Younger age groups would be better suited. I would not call the Shook Up Shark a luxury yacht as luxury to me means first class accommodations. We found several roaches/waterbugs in both bathroms and in the living/kitchen area. We did not cook but ate out. The refrigerator barely kept food/drinks cool although the top freezer did refreeze my icepacks. The freezer needed to be defrosted. The dining table sat four of us comfortably. The couch was not comfortable as the cushions sank when sat upon. Both bedrooms were tiny however the beds were very comfortable and had clean linens. Both bathrooms/showers were small but adequate and clean washclothes, towels, etc. were provided. The a/c worked well in the bedrooms but the kitchen, dining and living area was very warm during the day and slightly cooler at night. Cooling this area would be improved by having adequate window coverings to block out the sun as needed. The rear outside deck had two chairs and the placement of the boat provided great views but the sitting area was always in the sun from sunrise to sunset. Joel, the owner was very friendly and gave us a tour of the boat upon arrival. In conclusion, we had a good time while in Charleston (we were close to great restaurants, the downtown Market and tour facilities) and we will never forget our first boat experience.
First experience staying on a yacht and will probably do this again when traveling if luxury/comfort is not the priority...it was something different and nice to wake up in the morning and enjoy the view with coffee on the covered deck as well as a glass of wine in the evening. We enjoyed watching the dolphins in both the morning and close to sunset. The owner had excellent recommendations and suggestions (Saturday market downtown and restaurants). Downside and suggestions to make it more comfortable for guests: The temperature inside the boat during the day was not tolerable and temps were as high as 81 inside and that was very uncomfortable especially when getting cleaned up and ready to go out. A notebook or prior info emailed to guests with gate access code, wifi password (although it was not strong enough to work so we had to use data), and special instructions would be helpful so that you don't have to call/text for questions/needs. The beds were not comfortable and there were roaches in one of the bathrooms. Overall would rate 3 out of 5 due to the awesome view, location, and recommendations.
I took my three grandchildren (ages 11and 16) on our annual "Adventure with Nana". The trip is always a surprise that I plan for them. They were so excited when they saw the boat we would be.calling "home" for 4 days. Shook up Shark had all the conveniences of a 4 star hotel. The ship was fully furnished with linens and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed including wine glasses for Nana. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets, and dinner on deck. With close proximity to downtown Charleston, the aquarium and great restaurants, the kids thought it was the best adventure yet. They want to go back next year. Thanks Joe Levine for sharing your boat with us.
We really enjoyed the motor yacht and a great view on the water. We were well taken care of and had everything we needed. Very quiet and comfortable. We took our bicycle along and it's at a great spot to explore the ball park, Citadel, and waterfront Brittlebank Park. The paved path goes along the entire Cooper River waterfront passed the marinas and has a long section completely lined with palm trees! The path continues all the way down to Rainbow Row and White Point Gardens Park on the harbor.
Next time I'll bring along kayak for sure!
Our favorite "Coast Restaurant at 39 John Street", was delicious again with their amazing Steamed Seafood Paella in Iron Kettle for two!
