Ron & Kim Tupper bought their first Cape May house in 2000, and have since bought and renovated 9 more homes as summer rentals here in Cape May. Married more than 25 years, we and our two kids (19 and 14) spend nearly every weekend of the year in Cape May, our favorite beach town! Our weekends in the off-season find us busy renovating, building, and putting our personal touches on every one of our properties so they are welcoming for every one of our tenants. Each weekend in the summer, we personally check on all of our properties between rentals, take care of the lawns, meet our new guests for the week, and make sure our tenants are all comfortable before we head to the beach for some sun and fun!
Kim grew up coming to Cape May for a week each summer, and then when we moved to Pennsylvania, we found ourselves in Cape May for a weekend each summer while we performed with the Chester County Concert Band (before we had kids of course!) We knew we wanted another place to call home, and Cape May was an easy decision.
Ron or Kim Tupper purchased this house in 2013
We just bought this home in 2013 as some of our guests were asking for a larger home (we have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom places, but stopped renting our other 4-bedroom home in 2012 to use it ourselves). It is only 4 houses away from our home at 506 Reading Ave which is one of our favorites.
Private yard in a quiet neighborhood, yet only minutes to walk to the beach or town!
My siblings, husband and I had a wonderful family weekend for my mother's surprise birthday celebration. The house was clean, decorated simply and attractively, and provided all the necessities from a washer and dryer, outside grill, utensils and dishes, etc. to make it a great weekend that lacked in nothing. The location was great for daily walks to the beach and either a nice walk or short drive to the shops at the mall. We enjoyed hanging out together for games and movies and to catch up with family over meals at the spacious dining area. We had a fantastic weekend and Mom was completely surprised! The owners were professional and very easy to work with and returned our deposit immediately. I would definitely recommend staying here.
This house was the perfect place to stay and enjoy Cape May. The house was very clean with an amazing back yard and grill! It is walking distance from town and the beach and close to all fun activities! Home owners were easy to rent from and deposit returned quickly. Would definitely recommend this and would live to stay here our next trip out to Cape May!!!
Very quiet and relaxing in the spring. The house was simply decorated and clean. Loved the section of town within walking distance to the beach. Far enough from shopping and restaurants to get some extra walking exercise. Nice fenced yard to sit and read a book. Owner response and ease of renting were timely and very professional. Would have loved to stay more than a week.
My family along with 2 other friends family stayed here. This home is very well maintained and clean. There are lots of toys & books for kids. Kids enjoyed their stay as well. Lots of thing to roam around.
The family was in town for our Coastie's graduation from the Coast Guard Training Facility. This home was adorable in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. If it were the summer, we would've taken advantage of the location and strolled down to the beach and/or the Coast Guard Station. Both were easily within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed listening to the waves crash or the recruits marching at night when things were calmer. We were fortunate that January isn't a very popular time in Cape May, as we had to book at the last minute. The owner was very receptive and cooperative in booking us just a few days away. The home slept 10 comfortably even though most of our time was at the enormous dining table (it was more than spacious). Wi-fi was great and the countless TV channels kept those wanting to veg on the couch entertained for hours. The home was clean, updated and decorated very tastefully. The kitchen was very well stocked (I can't tell you how important that is for a family like ours!) with plenty of dishes, pots, utensils and appliances. We felt we were "home" the moment we walked in. The only thing that I would suggest to potential renters in the winter is that you remember an extra blanket. The blankets provided by the owners are more geared for summer - which I imagine is most of their traffic and that's fine. Kudo's to Ron and Kim for keeping up on the property and a million thanks for getting our deposit back to us within a week. Next time we're in town, we will look for this home first, if unavailable, we'll look for one of their other properties. It's BeachesEnd for us or nothing at all.
We were two families of four and this house was perfect. Clean, spacious enough for all 8 of us and provided us everything we needed for the week. The house is short walk to the beach and an easy walk to the mall area. The owners were very easy to work with -- I would recommend staying here to anyone.
