What a View!!

  • 5 of 5

I was brought here by my sisters and my BFF for my birthday for a long weekend to relax. I was so pleasantly surprised when I walked in the door how clean and bright it was. With that gorgeous view of the harbor and our favorite Motif #1. You can't get closer to New England charm than this. The refrigerator was stocked with condiments and things for breakfast and some snacks. Mary Kay was a charm to talk to and rent from ...so accommodating. The convenience of being in the center of the town was great and the easy parking space which is a premium in Rockport. Beds very comfy too. I will definitely be returning. Loved it!

What a great location

  • 5 of 5

I had never stayed in Rockport before and was charmed by the location of the Four Winds. Mary Kay could not have been more helpful and responded very quickly to all my inquiries. The place was very clean, the view is over the water and is picturesque. This is a great place for a getaway, it is easy to cook in-house and there are many restaurants nearby. I look forward to going back. M.J.

Peaceful, luxurious fall retreat.

  • 5 of 5

I'm not sure this could have been any more ideal for a personal retreat -- Rockport in the late fall is quiet and lovely, and the condo was filled with every amenity a person could want, including a digital piano looking out onto the harbor (a huge plus for a musician, and almost impossible to find in vaca rentals!), and a dedicated parking spot a 10 second walk away (a rare commodity in Rockport). It could have easily fit 4 people without feeling crowded, so I barely used the downstairs bedroom except to deposit my coat. The upstairs loft, where I spent most of my time when "home," was airy and light, with a lovely sitting area, dining/writing area, super comfy bed and the luxurious soaking tub. It was a little too chilly to spend much time on the balcony/deck, but in warmer weather they would be great for morning coffee. The whole condo overlooked Rockport harbor and the iconic Motif #1; inspirational when reading, writing, and playing the piano. Mary Kay was very responsive and helpful when I needed assistance, but otherwise gave me full privacy, and she had kindly stocked the well-equipped kitchen with all sorts of healthy breakfast items, snacks and drinks. Most of the shops were still open so it was nice to walk around downtown each day -- the Bean & Leaf was right down the street and had good coffee and lunch fare. The Little Art Cinema was a fun, small, retro place to catch a movie. Halibut Point State Park was a 5-minute drive and provided great hiking with sensational ocean views, and I enjoyed the surprisingly diverse art collection at the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester. My only regret was that the gorgeous Shalin Liu didn't have any artists of interest playing while I was there...but that just means I'll have another opportunity to stay at Four Winds in the near future!

A perfect Rockport Escape

  • 5 of 5

If you would like to be in the center of Rockport AND right on the Cozy harbor waterside, than this is the place for you. There is parking space a skip away from the property which makes it convenient for those who have cars. There is a fudge factory greeting you right before her condo and multiple cute surrounding shopping places (Including her FOUR WINDS gift shop). People are friendly, walking the streets w/ families. Felt so safe there.

We arrived with a personalized welcome sign on the door so we know exactly where to go. Mary Kay was very informative and communication was great with directions and instructions through emails and notes. This condo is spacious with 2 LG bedrooms, and sun filled through huge windows and glass doors overlooking the harbor.

Mary Kay filled the kitchen with treats, breakfast foods and more. All the appliances easy to find and every utensil you would possibly need. This place was spotless and well organized.

Upstairs we fully enjoyed the balcony overlooking the water, fisherman boats and ocean noises. We loved the decor; from the origami mobiles, artwork on the walls, huge mirrors and all the cozy furniture. There was a soaking tub, piano, bar, plenty of table space and a sitting areas. The condo is so cozy yet spacious, a real homey feel. Plenty of warm blankets stored throughout the condo, comfortable bed.

Plenty of great local restaurants and coffee shops just by walking down the road. There were also great restaurants in the neighboring town Gloucester that take less than 10 minutes to drive too. Plenty of parks, beaches to visit.

No complaints. This condo is nothing but inviting and I would/I have recommended this place to several family and friends already. Thanks Mary Kay and Tom!

Wonderful stay on Bearskin Neck

  • 5 of 5

We were very comfortable in Mary Kay's apartment. We loved the view onto the dock, the convenience, the cleanliness, the well-stocked kitchen (not just kitchen utensils, although there was plenty for the cooking we wanted to do, but also food -- Mary Kay provided us with enough breakfast and snack foods for an army!). The layout was great for us: our daughter loved having the upstairs to herself while we enjoyed the direct access out to the back dock from our bedroom for sitting and reading in the sun. Thank you again, and we hope to return next year!
