HOT TUB is winterized during January and February!!!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The Bungalow is so beautiful and we enjoyed the waterfall every morning. Great beds! So comfortable. We will be back!
My company has held a couple of incredible meetings at Willow and we couldn't be happier! Ever detail was attended to and the whole attitude of the place lent itself to relaxation. I want to go for a weekend getaway with my hubby!
I used the Bungalow as a special getaway for a Passport2Purity weekend for my 13 year old daughter. We loved the deck overlooking the "sliding rock" which was really flowing because it rained that weekend. The rain only made it better! My daughter loved the idea of being in the Cinderella room up in the top of the bungalow! The bungalow is so unique with amazing features and surprises. I could see myself living there! I love the wrap around steps and decking. We had private parking above the bungalow that made it so convenient to come and go. The view from the bungalow is magical. I will treasure the weekend memories forever!!
What a beautiful getaway! The property is so private, and even has its own nature walk with a little stream that goes through the property. The decor is absolutely charming and made me feel like I was really at home. The kitchen had everything that anyone could possibly need to cook for any sized group, and there was more than enough space for our family gathering of 15. The manager was super friendly and always easy to get in touch with.
As far as cleanliness, I'm not sure why there would be any complaints in these reviews. As a person who is constantly cleaning in my own home, I felt no need to clean anything when I got here, which is a lot more than I can say for most places on VRBO. Everything was absolutely spotless, especially considering this place is surrounded by nature. Everyone in my family kept raving about how soft the sheets were, and I'm planning on even ordering some for my home!
The amount of love invested in this home creates immediate comfort and coziness. I wish we didn't have to leave, but I am looking forward to planning our next family vacation here. I HIGHLY recommend this beautiful house for all ages as it is such a cozy and romantic getaway. You won't regret it!!
“Ignored and disatisfied vacationers”
We came up to the main house for a 4 night stay and had to leave after 3 nights, the owners ignored our request for a refund on the last night. We would have left sooner but could not because we had a dog and there were no other places to stay that weekend. The ice machine was broken, the stove was not working, the fan in the master was not working, the closet drawer was broken, the property manager would not come over to show us around to find the outdoor lights to the over chlorinated Jacuzzi in the woods, her mother was in the hospital so she could not show us around. There was only one place to sit and watch TV for one person in the family room. The patio deck had no lounge chairs to sit on, only a large stairmaster took up all the space, the table outside was filthy I had to clean it and there was debris and screws on the deck, the worst nightmare happened the 2nd night, the property had a smaller rental called the Bungalow that we were told only 2 adults were going to stay there... well the two adults invited 12 others and partied all night till 4AM at the Jacuzzi and had to walk past the house that we were in and they could look into the windows because there were no curtains in the kitchen area where they all walked past and they were drinking and partying all night long until we left earlier that anticipated because of what was going on.There were 6 cars from the unexpected guests in a small drive way along with my car. We were charged a hefty cleaning fee and I had to clean the place because there was dust under all the furniture and on the glass table on the deck, the screens and windows had never been cleaned in a long time. No one has responded to our calls not the owner or the property manager for a refund of the night we did not stay because of all the problems. And VBRO and homeaway will not refund our money either. If someone has any disabilities , do not go there it is all stone stairs and wood stairs everywhere.
Really enjoyed the location, as hiking was relatively close as well as the Asheville area (all within a 30 - 45 minute drive). The area in which the bungalow is located is in the woods and quite private. It is a rustic bungalow, which I have no problem with at all. Very quaint little piece of property. Probably was not as clean as I would have expected for the rate. I realize it would be hard to keep up on with it being located in the woods, but it was clear that there were some things that had not been cleaned for awhile.
The tower room, was very pleasant and very well lit by natural sunlight. The second bedroom on the first floor is quite dark. We had some issues with the heat the first couple of nights, as there is no central heating. There is baseboard heat in a couple of the rooms, a heater in the tower room and a wall heater in the living room, which was very hard to regulate. The gas fireplace produced some great heat once we got that up and running, however.
Another little disappointment was the advertisement clearly states at the beginning that there are free Biltmore tickets if you stay more than four nights, there were no free tickets. We were told that the we could pick them up for a discounted rate, but there seemed to be some discrepancy and that did not happen. A little disappointing.
The property manager was very friendly and easy to contact. There was no problem with that at all.
Would I recommend this place? I would say yes if you are not real particular on the cleanliness and enjoy something a little more rustic. The cleanliness is not an enormous factor, just clear there hasn't been in depth cleaning in awhile. I imagine the waterfall off of the deck in the spring is pretty amazing. Quite a unique little place! It is a very relaxing property. We were just a little disappointed for the price.
Stayed for the weekend before our wedding--to visit with family and escape for a while before our big day---this was the perfect place to do that. Unique layout indoors--and absolutely charming outdoor area. I would never leave.
