The condo exceeded my expectations. It was nicely furnished with updated and comfortable furniture. The kitchen and linens were well equipped and in great condition. The view was unbelievable with clean beaches and grounds. I will be back. I give the condo 5 stars excellant
Condo was well equipped and clean. We love Amelia Island and this location is perfect. The ocean view is peaceful and the beach lovely. The condo was ideal for an old girlfriends' get-together.
Property is in great condition and all
Villas around equal manner
Loved having our animal welcome on the beach and property. The view from the balcony was amazing, turtles nesting in the environmentally sensitive area. Very close to the beach really nice to have ample toys; games , beach paraphernalia. Kitchen reasonably appointed with newer appliances. The bathrooms however all in need of updating and Carpet should be removed on the stairs and upstairs. Walls and trim in need of painting desperately. Downtown Amelia is gorgeous and lots of walking paths off the ocean. Gated and secure.
We enjoyed our stay at Summer Beach very much. The condo is in an excellent location with beautiful views. The kitchen was well supplied with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, etc. I would not recommend more than 4 staying here because the sofa bed is VERY old and not very usable. However, 4 can sleep here very comfortably. Most of the furniture could use some updating, but it met our needs just fine. If you plan to use a beach cart to hall your things to the beach, the steps going up and down the beach access will make it nearly impossible. The pool definitely needs some updating and cleaning. We were not able to use it at all. But even with a few complaints, we would stay at this condo again. It was in such a great location and comfortable for the week.
The view across the grass and dunes is great...the photo here doesn't do it justice. While the balcony is a bit on the small side, it's perfect for enjoying an evening glass of wine while watching the waves. Since there was a great breeze off the ocean, it was rarely too hot despite the balcony getting full sun all morning (full shade in the afternoons).
The furniture was comfy, including the king bed...normally I don't sleep well away from home but didn't have any problems this trip.
The second room is a tad girly...that's not a bad thing but our teen sons weren't too keen about it ;)
Kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, etc. The appliances are fancier than ours so it took me a bit of time to figure out how to use them properly. The microwave oven is ridiculously powerful...never seen things cook so fast.
There's some beach stuff in the closest downstairs...the chairs came in very handy for us since we left ours at home. There's also a great selection of books (although not for the b
The swimming pool is beautiful...surrounded by live oaks, so it doesn't feel like a concrete desert.
We felt very safe and secure here (actually, pretty much everywhere on Amelia).
