Excellent place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

Had all the accommodations of home plus much more. Plenty to do at the condo and is close to the village of Bridgton. Was there for a five night stay for a youth baseball tournament and we all enjoyed ourselves tremensely.

Thank you so much from the Washburn family.

Very nice, quiet

  • 4 of 5

Loved the layout of the apartment. Plenty of room and very convenient for everything. A few minor things in the apartment that the owner needs to address with the cleaners but we would go back again next year.

Winter in Maine

  • 5 of 5

We have enjoyed staying here during the winter season. Good floor plan for our family and occasional guests. Cozy fireplace. Dog friendly which was important to us yet clean. Owners are attentive. It's close to Shawnee Peak, so if you forget something it's easy to drive back and forth or walk.

Perfect place to bring family together.

  • 5 of 5

I rented this condo for a week in August with my wife, baby, parents, and in-laws to spend some quality family time.

The condo and property have a logical gathering spot for everyone at every time of day: Open kitchen & living room with a straight-shot to the patio, a game room, and a beach with sand, shaded picnic tables & a float.

The gas grill allowed us to make some awesome dinners.

The place has a dishwasher & garbage disposal.

The condo area is a great place for children (or anyone) to ride bikes and wander around: 8 mph speed limit & almost zero traffic.

Some of us hiked Pleasant Mountain one day starting at 8 am and by 9:30 am were at the top of Shawnee Peak with the world to ourselves.

The foodies moved into Bridgton since last I vacationed here, every restaurant we visited was amazing.

In winter, the Blizzard's pub at Shawnee Peak is a walk-able distance if you don't feel like driving.

Our family had to leave a day ahead of time due to the discomfort caused by the odors in the home. Although it was bothersome to all of us (tearing eyes, sneezing, odorous), my daughter actually had to leave and stay with my sister since she had a severe asthma attack. My daughter has been diagnosed with allergies to mold and mildew so, along with the musty smell in the lower level, we would guess that there is a possibility of mold in the residence. Also, the creosote smell from the fireplace made it uncomfortable to be in the living room area. Much of this being so noticeable could be due to the high humidity on the days we were there. It was observed that there are several dehumidifiers in the lower level but they really were not doing the job. As far as the residence itself, it has a convenient set up although somewhat out of the way. Great for skiers, I guess. I also felt that the cleaning charge should include the cleaning people dealing with the linens. The length of time we stayed, I guess the hourly rate for cleaning must be in the range of $30.00 an hour. We have stayed in lovely homes in Myrtle Beach, SC, Orlando and Ft. Myers, Florida and have never had to clean the linens and paid less than half for the cleaning charge. Maybe it is the going rate in the area but that seems quite high. Not that we did not know before we rented but there was so little available that we were happy to get anything. Dana, hope that you do well on your rental once you rectify the odors,

Owner's Response: It came with much disappointment when the guests said they were leaving two days into the three day stay. With no notice of anything wrong, it didn’t provide opportunity to look at or possibly rectify any potential problems for them. Immediately following the reservation, I was able to have maintenance look into any septic or fireplace issues, but nothing was noted out of the ordinary. The property does have multiple fireplaces that can be seen in the photos. Both are annually inspected by the association, and chimneys swept as required by insurance and in accordance with association rules. Regarding the cleaning costs, they are stated in the description with nothing hidden. Within the local area there is only one company that does seasonal cleaning. All of the fees collected for cleaning go directly to the cleaning company. Linens are provided without charge unlike the extra fees charged by other properties. Considering the property is 2500 square feet it takes some time to clean, which is why the sheets need to be washed and dried prior to cleaning and the check-in/out times are as they are stated (this was at the request of the cleaning company as they are unable to finish both linens and clean the entire property within the allotted time/fees). Physically there is a lot of space to cover, and the washer/ dryer can’t turn over all of the laundry quick enough. If there are any questions or issues, please ask ahead of time-guests are welcome to bring their own linens.

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

Great place for large group. Spent July 4 with two other families. Close to everything......literally everything such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, golf, swimming, White Mountain National Forest, restaurants, shopping, grocery. The property is perfect for the 11 of us....spacious yet cozy. the house has everything you need...even a large lobster pot for our surf and turf feast (25 lobsters and 5 steaks). We must have each gained 5 lbs after that meal.....coupled with a delicious blueberry pie a la mode from Pretentious Pie Co, Naples for dessert afterwards.

Owner Dana was extremely helpful and responsive. Called late the night we checked it due to a small mix up (thought there was no hot water) but it was due to a mistake on our part......the person who was about to jump into the shower didnt let the water run long enough. Highly recommend this place. We pare planning to return in 2017.
