Overview

Cooke City Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

CLOSEST RENTAL TO YELLOWSTONE WOLF WATCHING!

Charming, recently built cabin with one bedroom and loft. Perfect for travelers who want easy access to Yellowstone Park's fabled Lamar Valley with its bison, elk, deer - and yes, wolves!

Located just minutes from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park, our guests enjoy fabulous recreation opportunities, both in the Park and in the surrounding Beartooth Mountains and wilderness. Fly fishing opportunities abound in streams, rivers, and alpine lakes. Non-winter visitors can access the unbelievable Beartooth Pass via what Charles Kuralt once described as 'the most beautiful drive in America.' And for winter visitors there is unbeatable backcountry and cross-country skiing.

The cabin features gorgeous hardwood floors, tiled kitchen counters, a clawfoot tub/shower, and a cozy wood stove. We provide ample firewood, but the cabin also has (yet never needs) supplemental heat. The first floor bedroom has a magnificent queen-size high bed, and the loft sports two log beds, one queen-size and one single. There is also a trundle bed. We provide fresh linens upon your arrival.

You will not find a nicer place within sixty miles!

Perfect cabin!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! Great clean , comfortable, good location, and very well stocked cabin. Perfect spot at end of Cooke city, walk to town, but still wooded enough for privacy. 20 minutes to ranger station in Lamar valley to watch wildlife. The cabin has only one bathroom but plenty of hot water for 5 showers! Washer and dryer was a plus for traveling family of 5. Kitchen has everything needed for fixing meals and we did several evenings. Seen deer most every day from bedroom window in mornings. Lamar valley is our favorite spot in Yellowstone. Bear, wolves, bison, coyotes, pronghorn....we saw it all! Moose right outside Silvergate too! What a great trip.

Beautiful mountain digs!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Two Rib cabin for a week and couldn't be happier with this cute place! It's furnished beautifully and the open concept of the downstairs is very nice and well appointed, plus...the place was spotless when we walked in. The loft bedroom was where we stayed and we were very comfortable there. The beds and pillows were comfy too. We sat out on the deck a few nights and had margaritas before our dinner. The cabin is right on the Beartooth Pass so there is a little traffic but the cabin is set back far enough so that you don't really notice it.

We really LOVED the little town of Cooke City! It's so laid back and everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. We went to The Cabin for a few meals and just loved it! The Beartooth Cafe is a must and so is the Bearclaw Bakery.

The northeast entrance to Yellowstone is only a few miles away so we were able to do the loop through Yellowstone into the Grand Tetons. There's plenty of wildlife along the way. We saw Pronghorns, Bison, Coyotes, Eagles, Elk, and our last day there we finally saw a moose. Never saw any bear or wolves though but they probably saw us! The first morning of our stay we were walking down the steps of the cabin and when we looked up there was a bison in the driveway of Two Rib cabin. WHOA! Needless to say we were a little startled to say the least! We also drove to Red Lodge via the Beartooth Highway. Stunning AND scary at times but we just loved it!!

You really CANNOT find a nicer place to stay in Cooke City! Lilly was so helpful when we had questions and the packet she sent us via email was so easy to understand what was expected of us. One thing we feel needs clarification though is that the TV provided is for playing DVD's only. There is no reception from cable, satellite or antenna. This wasn't stated until we got the packet from Lilly a few weeks before our arrival. It didn't bother us but some people it might.

Thank you so much for sharing your place with us Lilly and Jack. We still miss it and it's been a few weeks since we left Two Rib cabin. This was by far our best vacation yet!

Beautiful cabin, great location.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at Two Rib Cabin for 4 nights. It was one of the best places we stayed during our 3 weeks in Wyoming/Montana. The cabin is just perfect, well designed, warm, cozy, super clean and well appointed. Very close to the park and easy access to the Bear Tooth Hwy. Views were amazing, had deer come right up to us when we first arrived. Enjoyed exploring Cooke City and had the BEST pizza ever at the Miner's Saloon. The best place to stay in Cooke City.

Wonderful Stay at Two Rib Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely beautiful cabin. Looks like pictures in a travel magazine. You can sit on the deck and listen to the creek in front of the cabin. We (5) had a great time in the cabin and Cooke City. The cabin is immaculate, warm and extremely comfortable. We went to Yellowstone all 4 days plus Beartooth Highway, and Teton Village. We saw bear (3 times), coyote, fox, moose, and buffalo including the Cooke City Buffalo. We would stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay close to Yellowstone!!!!

Amazing House in Cooke City!

  • 5 of 5

We spent four nights in this amazing house and wished we had stayed longer. The location was perfect for wildlife watching in Lamar Valley and for hiking along the Beartooth Highway. There were several good dining options in town, but with the nicely renovated kitchen in the house, we chose to stay in most nights. Highlights of the house included very good mattresses, excellent shower water pressure, cleanliness, quiet surroundings. Compared to other houses we have rented over the past five years, this one was the best!

An Absolutely Gorgeous Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for letting us stay in your BEAUTIFUL cabin! It was absolutely gorgeous and spacious. I have stayed in several different rentals and none compares to yours. You had everything that a family needed. Cooke City was the best. We loved the small town feel and everyone was so nice. Thank you!

Yellowstone was everything everyone said it was! My family and I hiked gorgeous trails and saw all kinds of wildlife. We saw buffalo, bighorn sheep, elk, bald eagle, wolf, and had four bear sightings! We were greeted by the Cooke City buffalo several times while returning to our cabin. The kids loved that! We went ziplining in Gardiner and horseback riding in the park. WOW! just a wonderful memorable family trip!

We plan to return to Cooke City and HIGHLY recommend your cabin! thanks!
