Amazing as always!
This is the second time we have stayed at Herb’s property and it was wonderful. So clean; so beautifully decorated; everything you will need is there. The bed is as comfortable as our own bed at home. We chose to stay with Herb to celebrate our 10th anniversary because we trusted that it would be as great of a stay as our last; and it did not disappoint. The reviews don’t lie; Herb is a wonderful host; very knowledgeable about NOLAs history; super friendly along with his dog Louie; he even allowed us to stay way past our check out time since our flight was in the evening and there were no guests checking in that day. We made breakfast in the fully stocked kitchen almost every day. The air conditioner was super cold in the very hot NOLA days and night. Needless to say; it was very hard to leave. This is our go to place any time we come to NOLA. Thanks Herb!!!
Beautiful house, Herb is very cool.
The title says it all. Stay here and if yer lucky Herb will tell you all you need to know. Don’t be too worried about subsidence though, I’m sure we’ll eventually follow the Dutch lead eventually.
Another stay with Herb at his beautiful property. Again, lovely studio with everything you need for a night or a week- perfectly located and very comfortable! Always so nice to visit! Hope to be in New Orleans again soon!
Not only is the property beautiful, comfortable, well appointed, with a great host, but the location is fantastic! It’s located in a beautiful, safe area, walking distance from delicious restaurants, coffee shop, even a grocery store. The host is knowledgeable about the area, as a long time resident and is so accommodating and helpful. It’s even better than the pictures.
This was an unforgettable trip! I dont think I could have chosen a more perfect place! The rental was clean and comfortable. Herb was a phenomenal host. We were within walking distance to several attractions and restaurants and a low Uber fee to the French Quarter. I will stay here every time we come to town!
One of the best experiences during our stay was getting to know the locals. Herb was great and gave us very good advice on where to go and what there was to do. The main attractions are just a short Uber ride away but I suggest taking the time to visit the restaurants and shops within walking distance.
Walking distance to several New Orleans festivals including the Jazz and Heritage Festival and Voodoo Festival. Just a lovely seven to eight block stroll to historic St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, Bayou St. John, the Carrollton/Canal Streetcar, and City Park, which is larger than Central Park in NYC, and includes the Carousel Gardens Amusement Park & Storyland, boat & bike rentals, the Botanical Gardens, Golf, Tennis, Canoeing, 24 hour Café Du Monde, gondola rides on Great Lake, NOLA City Bark, Equest Farm, New Orleans Museum of Art and the free and awesome outdoor Bestoff Sculpture Garden (a must-see!).
