I would like to say~~~don't go here!!! Just so we could keep this beautiful little cabin our secret! It was perfect in every way. Home away from home. We're like to thank our host & hostess, Bob & Sherry. Your cabin is just the sweetest, cleanest place to stay. Trust me, when we come back for a visit, there is not question as to where we will stay. I just hope it's for a longer visit. There is so much to see & do in the Wellsboro and surrounding areas. I maybe old fashion, but we like the Diner in town for an early morning breakfast, best eggs ever. They told me how they fix them...another secret to take home. ;) George's is another Restaurant that a good. Wish we had more time, to sample some others. The cabin is out by it's self. Not in a cluster cabins, trailers or camp grounds. Which is fine, if that is what you want. This is on about 2 acres or so and you really don't see your neighbors. Quiet and back off the small road. Covered wagon & bike trail 1/4 of a mile from the cabin, if that, you can walk to it. That is for next time. I grew up within 2 hours of Wellsboro and my brothers family lived just down the road--15 miles. Once married we always came home for a week and visited with them and the cousins had a 'great' time in the Pine Creek swimming....beautiful, the children will love to swim in it. I could go on, but you'll have to come and visit the beauty in this area. I might suggest you contact the Chamber of Comm. for brochures of the area, then you can see what's there and plan a little better, instead of sitting in the cabin deciding. Go up Rt. 287-N, off of Rt. 6 from Wellsboro, ? about 6 miles, to the Dandy Mart and get the BEST ice cream you ever had, "PERRY'S" at the lil' stand. Only in this area, NY & Ohio. Enjoy all. See ya'll later, Bob & Sherry....
We enjoyed our time at this beautiful cabin near Wellsboro for a long weekend during the Columbus Day holiday. The weather was perfect and we were able to enjoy the rail trail with our bikes everyday. We made several trips into Wellboro to eat at the Wellsboro Diner, also experienced Tony's (Italian) and George's (Greek, diner) for the first time. We went to the Grand Canyon and enjoyed Maple milk shakes! We had fun feeding the animals at Animal Land and the Deer Park in Coudersport. We had some cheese from the historic cheese wheel at Germania General Store! We really enjoyed the porch and tree swings and all the comforts of this beautiful cabin. We appreciated the call from the owner allowing us to stay a bit longer on our last day! One more bike ride before going home! Thanks for renting to us for a wonderful family time together. Memories made for a life time!!
My husband and I stayed at Ansonia Pines for a weekend in September 2015. The cabin is even nicer than pictured! Everything is very clean, and the house/property are well-maintained. The location is ideal as well; it is a short drive from downtown Wellsboro, the Rail Trail is across the road, and there's a great tavern/restaurant very nearby! Thanks, Sherry and Bob, for a very nice weekend! We plan to return for future stays!
We wanted to get away for a long weekend and found the perfect cabin. As soon as we walked in we felt so relaxed. The cabin was decorated nicely and had everything we needed. Plus, it was immaculate! There is a lot to do close by. I would definitely recommend staying here...
Rob and I stayed at this awesome cabin for 3 nights. Cabin was better than described and had all the comforts of home. Right on the rails to trails and not far from town. Thanks for an enjoyable stay see you again soon.
My husband and I rented this cabin, brought up some bikes and groceries and had one of the most beautiful weekends we can remember. First, the cabin is very special, cozy, recently built with all the amenities. The bike trail is across the street from the cabin and it takes you into the gorge of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. The most scenic place in the state for sure! Views of the mountains from the cabin porch showed off the changing foliage. Don't recommend this cabin for a crowd. Two to four people ideal, beware there are no beds larger than a double so if you require a Queen or King size bed you will not sleep well. TV but no internet so we unplugged which was great. Loved the fire pit outside at night and the gas fireplace inside. Highly recommend.
