About Bob Alexander
Professional working couple in the financial services and software industries with two college age children. Primary home is outside of Saratoga Springs. Bob, who recently retired, has been an Adirondack enthusiast for 61 years.
Bob Alexander purchased this House in 2013
Why Bob Alexander chose Town of Day
The couple truly loves the area and own two houses adjacent to the Foxrun property. Their 220 acre estate was accumulated over the past 15 years with the first home purchased 30 years ago. The 220 acres are pristine and contain wildlife diversity: fox, deer, racoons, wild turkey, pheasant, bald and golden eagles, bear, and other species. No hunting is permitted and signs are posted throughout the property.
What makes this House unique
Whether you want to kick back and do nothing, or you are a busy tourist, you can enjoy both in the Great Sacandaga Lake area and never sacrifice privacy or pleasure.

My family stayed at fox run 7/5 to 7/15...it was wonderful. Booking a home online can be a little uncertain, but our expectations were fully met. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, the playroom...and great deck and fire pit. My 3 year old grandson had a "ball" with the outdoor play gym. We went swimming, white water rafting. Pontoon boating and enjoyed the attractions in Lake George village. Bob and Ann were wonderful hosts and made sure we were well informed and had what we needed.
Your kind words are greatly appreciated!
This is what we strive for.
Thank you, and we hope to see you. again, next year.

A Relaxing Vacation - Enjoyed by All, in an Incredible Well Built Home!
Our stay here was fabulous! We were two families consisting of 10 people.
This well built, solid home allowed plenty of space inside and out. My daughters played all day on the swing set and my boys hiked the mountain to the top where they could see for miles. When they were done hiking, we all went fishing in the lake. The fire pit was enjoyed by all of us as we sat around to tell our favorite stories!
I truly loved the kitchen. It was fully supplied with everything that I needed to cook a great meal. I only brought the food and drinks! The open floor plan allowed for continued conversation with everyone while I was cooking. Our family loved the pool table downstairs and we played many games throughout our stay. The bedrooms, beds, linens, and towels were very clean. I did not have to rewash anything upon my arrival. Overall the home was a 10+. Bob and Ann the hosts, a 10+.
They are warm, welcoming and very organized.
The cell service was limited, so it made our stay even more relaxing to share in quality time together.
We would definitely stay here again, when visiting the Adirondacks!
Our family (my husband, me, four adult children and a 5yr old) had the most wonderful time staying at Fox Run. This three-level house was plenty big to give us all privacy, yet small enough to be homey. They have thought of everything - no need to bring a thing but yourselves and your belongings. Extremely nice kitchen with top of the line appliances and supplies. The sheets/bedding - also top of the line. There's a town 15 min away with a grocery store, pizza shop and a Stewart's. The lake access is a few minute walk from the house and is a bit 'unsettled'/rough. If we were there during warmer days we may have used it. There's a 40 minute trail to the top of the mountain - not a bad hike and the reward at the top is definitely worth the effort. Bob is an excellent communicator and was very accessible and eager to make sure we were happy there and had all we needed. He left thorough directions on how to work the many fixtures in the house. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you Bob!
PERFECT FOR FAMILY REUNION
We had a wonderful 3 week family reunion in this large, comfortable house across the street from Lake Sacandaga that EASILY accommodated our group of 8 adults and a baby at one time without tripping over each other. The 3 floor structure of the house allowed for some people to be downstairs playing pool or watching TV while the baby slept upstairs while others read in the large living room. The ramp up to the house and the new "handicap friendly" bathroom made it possible to include our elderly parents. The beds were comfortable with clean, high quality sheets. The kitchen was well equipped with a lovely 6 burner gas range and dishwasher, and 2 grills right out the kitchen door on the deck. There was good hiking right behind the house, and canoeing and kayaking a short walk down the road at the lake. Bob was a generous, attentive host, which we REALLY appreciated. The weather was unusually warm and sunny for September, but no complaints there! We plan to be back next year. THANKS for a great stay.
We had a wonderful family vacation at Bob and Ann's house. The house was spacious with lots of places to gather. Great kitchen, lovely deck. We hiked up the mountain behind the house a couple of times--what a spectacular view! The only thing that was a little disappointing is that I somehow got the idea from the pictures that the house was right on the lake. To get to the lake, you have to cross a road and walk down the shoulder a couple hundred yards--not a big deal, but it would have been awesome to be right on the lake.
Family Vacation 2017
My family and I spent a week at Foxrun and had a wonderful time. It was just what we were looking for. Close to Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We hit most of the hot spots Bob referred us to. The house was clean and the kitchen well stocked with utensils, cooking items, spices, coffee etc. The rooms were nice and everyone (17 people at one point) slept comfortably. The Lake access wasn't as convenient as we would have liked but we did get there and use the kayaks and canoe. It was great having coffee on the deck in the morning and playing pool in the lower level of the house at night. It's a great place to relax and have fun! Thanks again Bob!
