Cabin had a great view! Very peaceful and relaxing. It could use some upgrades but otherwise a wonderful time. ❤
Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback! The owner recently added internet, is in the process of expanding the deck, adding stairs to the garden area and a few other items. We hope you can come stay with us again :)
Amazing views. Can see Chimney Rock off in the distant. The fog evaporating off the mountains in the morning is so peaceful. The night sky is Beautiful from the back deck. You can even see the Milky Way. We happened when the Orionid Meteor showers and viewed several "fire balls" streaking across the sky!, Owner provided canoe, paddles, and life jackets for community lake. Our family got to see a blue herring eating, nesting mallards, and lots of turtles. Community also has a great walking trail (with picnic tables) that goes right by a picturesque creek. Close to Lake Lure and all its activities/restaurants. Well stocked kitchen, grill on back deck, lots of extra towels and blankets. Perfect vacation for our family.
Thank you so much! We love kind people and we are so happy you you enjoyed your stay :)
Long, very rough road to the cabin. Our car took quite a beating. Exterior of cabin really needs cleaning, assuming it had a broken window as it was taped or caulked. First step to the cabin is not secure and tilted....be careful. Deck was very unsafe, weathered with loose and splintered planks.. Furniture is iron and rusted. Could not use deck at all which was very disappointing. No window from the large loft bed upstairs, just the small one. Bed was very uncomfortable as well. Living room was very small, not even room for a full size couch. No WiFi was a huge issue as we could not find many places that provided access. Cabin was clean inside, the canoe was a plus but kayak is at the house and no way to get to the lake. The cabin has a lot of potential as it is very cute but needs work, especially to the deck. Management Company was very helpful.
Romantic and Great Price
Great price and super clean. Perfect for our anniversary! The cons: There isn't a dishwasher but we brought all of our food in throw away containers anyway. My wife made our meals in advance using throw away oven tins because she didn't want to do dishes! There is only one bathroom but that was fine for just me and my wife staying there. The pros: Very clean, located in romantic gated community, very nice view and it comes with a canoe and a kayak. If you stay in the area be sure to get some ice-cream at The Rocking Leprechaun in downtown Chimney Rock! We had a great time! Thanks! We can't wait to come back!
