About the property

MOUNTAIN VIEWS ~ INTERNET ACCESS ~ CLOSE TO CHIMNEY ROCK SHOPS, RIVERWALK & PARK

(no pets..no exceptions)

Location, Location, Location

With this home, location has to be discussed first. It offers, from its front porch, a direct view of Chimney Rock, the iconic feature of Chimney Rock State Park. The chimney was featured on Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine, and the park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country’s 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains.

The entrance to the park is just two blocks from this home. The restaurants and quaint shops of Chimney Rock Village are just around the block. At the home, you can even hear the sounds of the picturesque, trout-filled Rocky Broad. There are plenty of places to fish at the river and a boardwalk to enjoy the beauty.

If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Chimney Rock Village on the scenic and curvy Alt US-74 (Memorial Highway) through Bat Cave, Gerton, Fairview, toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you have not traveled this stretch of road, it is something to add to your bucket list. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead fame, featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1 Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from the home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum that features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinct array of unique one-off American automobiles.

This home also boasts a small attached garage. The garage, along with paved roads in the area, proximity to the curves of Memorial Highway, and the beauty of Blue Ridge Parkway, make this home perfect for those riding motorcycles.

Comfort and Value

Additionally, this Chimney Rock vacation rental home offers accommodations for 4, with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath, at a fantastic value. It is furnished with high-quality and comfortable leather sofa and chair in the living room; unique, locally crafted pieces throughout the home; as well as some antiques. The homeowners personally selected and placed each item as though they occupied the home full time, with your comfort in mind.

Enjoy the view and sounds of nature from the comfortable Adirondack chairs. At the rear of the home are a stone patio, picnic table, and gas grill offering the perfect setting for enjoying a meal outdoors. The NASA memory foam mattresses, the 600-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets, refreshing mountain air, and soothing Rocky Broad rushing waters will bring you back again and again just for the relaxing sleep!

Perfect for Every Season

With the area's temperate climate and beauty, this home can be enjoyed throughout the year. Plus, there is so much to do in this area and in the surrounding communities. Check out the Amenities for a sampling of what is available.

Just pack your clothes, head on over, and then sit back, relax, and enjoy all Chimney View and the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains have to offer. We look forward to you being our guest!

Carolina Properties is a full-service real estate/property management company. We offer a wide selection of vacation rental homes in the Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area. The properties we manage range from luxury to fishing cabin, and there is something for every budget. The homes are as described (within our frame of reference) and are as pictured (not Photoshopped). Plus, they are clean.

Why Carolina Properties Management Office chose Asheville Area

You can see the iconic Chimney Rock from the front porch and you are within a couple of minutes walking distance of the park entrance and Village. You can even hear the Rocky Broad River from the home. While you are near town amenities, the trees and foliage around the home (plus the sound of the river and mountain views) will remind you that you are in the Hickory Nut Gorge at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home is also close to Lake Lure and surrounding communities. In addition to the beauty, fun, adventure, and history, you will find genuine southern hospitality.

What makes this cottage unique

Not only does the location in Chimney Rock (just blocks from the main street and park) make this home desirable, the homeowners took great pride in selecting comfortable and unique pieces to furnish the home. Plus, with the garage, paved drive/roads, the home is perfect for those riding a motorcycle.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed at this cabin for a few days at the end of December. The location is perfect nearby Chimney Rock Village - lots of places to walk around and the Chimney Rock park is close. You can view the Rock from the cabin patio and yet the cabin is in a quiet, peaceful location. Only thing you hear at night is the sound of the beautiful river nearby. Loved it and will go back in Summer!

Comfortable, Clean & Homey!

  • 5 of 5

Great stay at this property for a short weekend and small group. Very comfortable and clean. The kitchen has all of the amenities of home that you would need. One suggestion, which is not a complaint only a suggestion. The bathroom floor is a little slick so you have to be careful when entering the bathroom. Made for interesting conversation!

It was nice. Had to call because bed wasn't made but they came immediately and got it done. Also the smoke detector went off and wouldn't stop. Called but not sure they sent anyone . We had to take battery out. But other than that great house. Had wifi, nice air.
