2014 Sq Ft 3 Bedroom 2.5 Bath Full Walkout Waterfront Home

This home has just finished construction in May 2013 by one of the top builders in Northeast Wisconsin. The property is situated on a quiet county road perfect for biking and long walks. Located across from the Bluff Lands Nature Preserve, there are ample opportunities to hike and enjoy the fauna and wildlife. The house is a two level full walkout with a picturesque recently completed landscaped yard overlooking the waters of Green Bay. The main floor has a full eat-in kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances and a granite island.

A rare wood burning fireplace accentuates the main floor living room with modern furnishings and HD Satellite TV. The living room has access to both main floor decking and provides wonderful views of the bay. The queen Master suite has access to the long cedar deck and will provide a memorable view of the water every morning. Abundant closet space and a comfortable private bathroom with tub/shower also compliment the master bedroom. Satellite HDTV is also included in the master bedroom.

The main floor is highlighted by a large screened in white beadboard patio perfect for relaxing or bug free outdoor dining. The patio is also wheelchair accessible making the main floor completely handicapped friendly. Limited Wi-Fi by Exede Satellite also available.

A laundry room with attached private 1/2 bath are also conveniently located on the main floor. Plenty of counter space and storage accompany a brand new front load h/e washer/dryer and a large sink.

The bottom floor is ideal for indoor entertaining with large screen HDTV, plush leather furniture, Blu-ray player, DirecTV, PlayStation 3, and a new digital receiver. No need to run up stairs for drinks and snacks because a welcoming wet bar with dishwasher and beverage refrigerator are right behind you. The downstairs living area leads to a outdoor patio where you will find a sitting area and a new propane grill. A flat stone walkway accentuates this patio and leads straight to the shore.

Two other bedrooms are located on the bottom floor. They share a full bath with tub/shower. One bedroom has a new queen bed with ample closet and dresser space. The other bedroom has two twins that can be put together to make a king if need be. There is also a futon that will accommodate two guests. There is also custom built-ins in all the bedroom closets, so finding space for your clothes and accessories will never be a problem. Extra storage space located under the stairs hides extra linens, and games and toys for kids of all ages.

The outdoor grounds have been completely renovated and look first class. Sweeping views from the large yard are complimented by abundant fauna mixed with old hardwoods and cedar, new plants, and new flowering Crabapple and Dogwood trees. Outdoor games and other festivities will easily be accomplished in the oversize yard. A firepit is nestled down at the shore and will create happy memories as you enjoy smores, libations, laughs and sunsets. With over a 100 feet of shoreline there is plenty of space for fun and relaxation. A stone staircase leads down to the shore on one side while a gentle slope graces the other side, providing easy access to one and all. The rocky shore is easily traversed because of a large flat stone pathway that leads to the warmer bay water. This is a home built for all to enjoy. I have been renting vacation property here for over a decade and it is a passion of mine to help my guests in anyway come up with the best experience possible. I am a Certified Wine Specialist Level 2 through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust, and love to showcase different wines for my guests. I am also a Licensed Minister and have performed wedding ceremonies from coast to coast. Why Tim Sullivan chose Door County

This property used to have a two small cottages on it that I fixed up as much as Icould and rented them out for about 6 years. They were 60 years old and weathered, which was part of the charm, and the waterview was great. Unfortunately, father time and mother nature made renting them out untenable. So, I decided to tear them down and start a new history for myself. Thus, the Hidden Gem was born. My goal was to incorporate everything I find important and expected in an upscale vacation rental and then go one further, which is 'Sully Style'. You will love it and will come again in the future...unless, of course I don't like you; in that case you won't be coming back.

Nice Location "Hard to be the View"

Enjoyed a long Memorial Day Weekend with some close friends. We all loved the house, it was clean, neat, and nicely appointed. The master bedroom was perfect, it had it's own bath and patio to a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was well done and updated. The screened in porch was great for taking in the sounds and smells of up North without the bugs. The fire pit area was nice and was taken advantage of. Sunsets were on point, no complaints here. My only gripe if any, and we were aware prior to booking and arrival is there in no beach entry. Just some larger rocks leading into the lake. All and all we enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to another visit in the future.

vacation home

I wonder if anyone has had issue with not getting Security Deposit back? I have contact with the owner, but still waiting we have met all requirements. The Property was very nice, but am still waiting.

No Curb Appeal - Owner Intrusive...

I've thought long and hard before writing this review. Inside the home was as promised; nicely decorated and clean - although ALL the windows inside and out were dirty and in need cleaning - we even did some of it ourselves to have better views! As we drove up the owners home is viewed first on the right of the driveway and trash was overflowing and remained that way until the last day of our rental. The entrance to the unit was dirty and full of bugs and cobwebs (which is an issue as other renters have mentioned so I'm surprised the owner hasn't addressed the problem by simply doing a sweep the morning before he has renters arriving!) and handrails would be nice since the steps are on the high side.

Once inside we were happy that is was as pictured and loved the large deck attached to the upstairs living room and bedroom. The downstairs patio attached to the downstairs patio was dirty with bugs and cobwebs again so we had to clean it to be able to enjoy it; also the lawn was overgrown and seriously in need of weeding and cutting which didn't happen until the day before we left and disrupted our day with the lawnmower and weed-wacker taking over the space - should have been done the morning we arrived at the very latest!

Now the most intrusive part of our stay. The owner made it clear in no uncertain terms and in language I can't repeat here that he would use the fire pit by the water and his children were free to use the area as well since it was his property! This was NEVER mentioned and I even emailed him prior to the rental and asked if we had sole use of the fire pit and he told me "not to worry, I wouldn't be disappointed and it was for our use alone." So every evening he was down there making it uncomfortable for us to use the space since making small talk with the owner is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. His children were only around one day, but again we didn't feel comfortable sharing the space since my understanding is when you rent a property you're renting the property for your own use and not to share space with the owner.

All in all we made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves despite of the issues we had to put up with; I will return to Door County but will be booking elsewhere and making certain I am renting the entire property and not sharing space with the owner.....

Beautiful View

We had a great time and it was a great place to stay... house pretty well stocked with essentials and very comfortable. If we go back - we would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful and serene

We had a wonderful time. The house was spacious and clean and nicely decorated. The screened porch is wonderful for lounging and eating meals. We loved the fire pit by the lake. Overall a wonderful stay. The owner came down to the fire one night to introduce himself and we had a good time chatting and drinking some wine. One suggestion though, bring a frying pan, the one in the house has seen better days. But other than that, everything is supplied and in good shape. Thanks Big Sully.

The Perfect Home

We came up to Door County for a girls weekend & to ride the Door County Century Bike Ride! This home was perfect. Plenty of room for all of us! Great views! The home was tastefully decorated & equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our favorite spot was the large screened in porch. If we ever come back to Door County we will definitely stay here again!
