About Laurie Roberts
Lane and I are artists/craftsman/contractors who love nature, hiking, animals and working with our hands. We get a bang out of creating spaces, transforming ugly to beautiful and providing a place for people to unwind.
Laurie Roberts purchased this Cabin in 2011
Why Laurie Roberts chose Warner Springs
We looked for a long time to find a place that was semi remote that would be good setting for wilderness vacation rental and that had a fixer house on it. We found this 10 acres with adobe home built in the 40's, an old walnut grove and knew it was the one because of the beautiful view of the valley, it was surrounded by nature rather than neighborhood and it bordered on Cleveland National Forest land. We spent 2 years restoring/remodeling the house, putting in fruit trees and garden and in January 2013, came up with the safari tent concept as a vacation rental.
What makes this Cabin unique
Total privacy, fenced compound for your dogs, gorgeous view and incredible night skies. The tent opens at each end during the day and close it at night. Surrounding yourself with nature and it's sounds have a very relaxing effect that you cannot get in a walled in structure. The Japanese call this 'shinrin-yoku' which translates to forest bathing, or being surrounded by a forest environment which has been shown to improve mental and physical health.

First time glamping and it was AMAZING!! Dogs loved it and we loved it!! Very private, really enjoyed the Hot tub at night while stargazing and off leash property hike! Overall, very happy family but extremely sad we had to go.
Wow, what a great place! My husband and I have been glamping in California, Oregon, Colorado and South Dakota, but this place is second to none.
The décor is charming and rustic and all you need to be comfortable is provided here. It was a unique experience to soak in the bathtub and observe the surrounding scenery and also waking up in the morning in the middle of nature. We were also quite fond of stargazing in the hot tub and the kitchen made it easy to prepare for great BBQ in perfect surroundings.
Laurie and Lane were the perfect hosts; they answered all queries promptly, provided detailed arrival info and made sure we had all we needed when we arrived. The place felt very private and we had such a nice and relaxing time and would just love to return.
Thanks for having us!
We had an incredible stay! Cozy glamping. Enjoyed the hike above the glamp, pizza oven, DVDs, hot tub while star gazing, and the local wineries. Thank you so much!
Loved every minute of this weekend away. The tent comes with everything you could ever need plus some. Thank you Laurie!
A little slice of heaven!
Camp Ribbonwood exceeded any expectations I had! It was homey and quaint, beautiful surroundings, comfortable...it was perfection! It was so relaxing and comfortable, beautifully decorated! We enjoyed using the hot tub to relax and had a delicious pizza on the bbq outside! I brought my dog and it was her first camping/glamping trip and she loved it!!! I can't wait to come back! Laurie and Lane are THE BEST!!!
Glamping in Nature
My fiancé & I had an incredible time at the glamping tent. It’s a short drive from San Diego, but you feel as if you’re alone in the wilderness. It’s absolutely beautiful, with everything you could possibly need. Perfect for a romantic getaway. The hot tub, bath and loungers offer endless places to lounge, relax and unplug. I will be recommending to many friends & family!
