About Greg Linton

Gregory and Jeffrey Linton are the cabin owners. We are brothers who grew up in New Richmond, Indiana. Jeff lives in Lafayette, Indiana. He is a truck driver for Frito-Lay. Greg lives in Knoxville and manages the cabin. Greg is a professor at Johnson University. We named the cabin to honor our parents, Russell and Virginia Linton. Rose is our mother's middle name. Russell was actually our father's middle name, but he was called by that name. Our father never finished high school, but he worked his way up to managing and owning a grain elevator, which he sold so that he could retire at the age of 58. Our parents were married 65 years and passed away a few years ago, leaving their children a gift that enabled us to purchase this cabin for the enjoyment of our families and the families of our guests. Our favorite memories of our parents were the vacations that we took with them, and we hope that our cabin can provide similar fond memories for other families. Jeff has two grown sons and a grandson. Greg and his wife Kim have two fifth-grade boys and two dogs.

Greg Linton purchased this cabin in 2013

Lake access is a 1-minute drive from the cabin or a 5-minute walk. Guests can use the boat ramp and keep their trailer parked in the lot during their stay. Boats may be tied to the floating dock during the day if space is available. There is plenty of room in front of the cabin to park a truck and boat trailer.

Great cabin, EXACTLY as described!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time here!! Greg was very easy to work with and provides everything you will possibly need for your stay. I can't say enough nice things about this cabin, we loved it!!! My wife and I chose this cabin for a week of fishing and relaxing. We brought our 20 ft bass boat and had plenty of room to park. However you will need some backing skills because the cabin is on a dead end street. We chose to turn around at the intersection and back up the road approximately 40 yards. It wasn't too bad for us. The only complaint i would have about bringing my boat is after launching it, there is no trailer/truck parking at the ramp, however there is up a very steep hill. If you choose this option you will have to walk down to the ramp and then up the hill at the end of the day. We chose to unhook our trailer every time and drive down the hill to the boat/ramp. i would definitely recommend staying here!! A boating/fishing trip is very doable but does come with a few challenges that you can work around.

Kinley"s Review

Over all the property was well maintained. Arriving it was clean well kept. We really enjoyed our stay. I would suggest better directions to the trash bin's. Other than that all directions were right on.

Nice pet friendly cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a nice time in this cabin. It was very clean and well maintained. My children loved the upstairs loft area which contained a ping pong table, foosball table, and board games. The porch area has a gate which I appreciated for my dogs. They were able to go outside on the deck with us without fear of them running off. The owner of the property went above and beyond during our stay to provide us with area information and to also address any concerns we had during our stay. The cabin was a little far away from the pigeon forge attractions, but if you like a more secluded area on a mountain then this cabin is ideal. It took roughly 35 mins for us to reach the main attractions in pigeon forge. I would definitely recommend this cabin!

But this by far is the best Cabin my family and I have stayed in. I am truly grateful for the experience. very clean, amazing set up for kids and family. Had some issues with the washing machine the day before. but communicated with Greg and had some arrangements made. other than that, this place has everything and anything you need.
