Charming home in the heart of Historic Bristol

Bedrooms 3
Half Baths1
Space 1,300 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 - 6 nights

About the property

3 BR, 1.5 BA, 2 off-street parking spaces

This is our weekend 'home away from home' that we rent for a few selected times. It is a fully equipped 3 bedroom 'home', with a small backyard for BBQ, and a GREAT front porch for sitting in the rocking chairs and watching life happen. We are 3 blocks from the downtown heart of Bristol, and about 200 feet from the July 4 parade route...walk down to the corner and you are at the parade, come back to the house to cool off. We have washer/dryer in the house. The public bus to take you to Newport is at the corner. Our house is fully modernized and air-conditioned. We have cable-based internet, and an HD TV/dvd player. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1) We do NOT have cable TV channels activated; 2) The bathroom/shower & bedrooms are upstairs - this is not a wheelchair-accessible house (there is a 1/2 bath on the main floor); 3) Kids are OK, but we have multiple glass-topped tables; 4) There are beds for 6 in 3 bedrooms, plus a full size fold-out sleeper couch in the living room, and we also have 4 extra mattresses that can be put on the floor for a total of 'sleeps 12' - but with greatly reduced privacy.

About Rick

We live about 2 hours away, and come to Bristol almost every weekend. We were looking for over 2 years for a charming New England waterfront town, and finally found Bristol.

Rick purchased this house in 2009

Why Rick chose Rhode Island Coastal

We wanted a smaller property that is right in-town so we can walk to restaurants, boutiques, cafes. Basically, we wanted our weekend to be located be 'in civilization'. AND, we wanted off-street parking and a nice small yard for family BBQs/outdoor socializing.

What makes this house unique

Our house is close enough to in-town entertainment, yet being a few blocks from the center of town, the noise from nightlife does not disturb us. The best part is the front's the perfect place to relax.

This home is a real gem. the pictures just dont do it justice. Location is amazing. Walk to the water is just right there...walk to the gorgeous main street area in a few feet. Rick is a great host, easy to work with and we had everything we could possible need. Cant wait until our next stay!

Beautiful Home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very beautiful home! staying here made for a perfect vacation. The house is ideal, and the location is great - we loved staying in such a central area. The owner has put together a very detailed document of where to eat, shop, party, and go touristing. The house is perfect and we had a great time. - Ruta and Peter

Bristol is a charming 'modernized' historic town on the East side of Narragansett Bay...which has a rich seafaring tradition. Many America's Cup racing yachts were built here. Newport - mansions, hard-core tourist scene - is a 30 minute drive (or bus ride) from Bristol. The town has many boutiques, cafes, bars/restaurants.
