Nice studio, we have nice trip and good experience !
Abraham was an excellent host. The house offers a great access point to London. The neighborhood is vibrant. Best with two inhabitants.
The real story on this little Flat...
3 women - 3 towels for 10 days. Until 1st shower, when it is noticed that one towels reeks like a dirty washcloth when it gets damp. Now 3 women - 2 towels, 10 days.
Also, 2 rolls of toilet paper. After 3 days, more was needed and one roll was provided. Based on simple math here... not enough folks!
Floor has a sticky quality. Less like old food; more like unclean with residue of former ... guests? poor mopping attempt?or general mystery filth; so many possibilities, really.
Yay, there is a washing machine... Boo, no soap.
Sit on toilet and it moves because it is not attached to the wall. From toilet, glance at sink. Black mold on awful caulking stares back. Then go wash hands (with own soap because there is none here). At this point, the cupboard door falls on you. Also, not attached. Off to the shower, may as well pray for better luck because you'll be on your knees in a tub with a detached shower head and only 3 feet (my generous estimate) of hose. Also, gritty dirt here. I suppose the old building has an old tub. Then I touch it to confirm the... Oh gross, it comes of! That is some else's dirt!!!
Well at least you can sleep, because it won't be like you plan to stay here much anyhow. What is that you say, I cannot hear your over the ambulances. Where is that hospital? Just a few blocks away! Sirens all night, every night! Fair estimate, every 20-30 minutes.
Morning arrives for shopping, best get on those walking shoes to walk a healthy kilometer before you leave the old (in the unwelcoming and rundown sense) wholesale district for markets and the underground tube stations.
Super hot, but the fan provided does not swivel. Toaster is broken. Kettle is gross!
Having trouble, just call. Although there is NO phone here. Internet is poor at best. Not to worry though because it was reset for us on the 3rd day. Oh wait, still does not work correctly.
Last day arrives with our host (who was friendly and polite) requesting we clean as best as we can and place the garbage behind the building in the dumpster. I guess we're the maid service as well?
On a serious note, hotels may be small, but this was gross, under supplied and disappointing. Save your money; the price here was similar to the hotels anyhow (due to being such a great room). Happy travels.
