had a great time in this apartment, very beautiful very clean , traditional way of sleeping , great location very near stations and lots of shops and restaurants about 5 mins walk away quiet neighbourhood , and the host Marika was very warm and friendly and most helpful . would gladly stay there again on my next trip to japan.
Authentic apartment, located in a nice neighborhood with many temples. Marika has been very nice, helpful and responsive. She even insisted to pay the cab ride from the meeting point to the actual location.
Enjoyed our stay and Marika was very helpful and informative. The accomodation was fine and we were very comfortable.
Very good experience of Tokyo, appartement clean and nice ; maybe Marika could add some more crockery, and some "demonic" equipment (tv, microwave). Note : I never give 5 stars overall, so 4 is very good
the overall experience was nice. we cooked in the apartment so we saved a lot during the trip. There were chopsticks, pots, pans, spoons and cooking ranges, basically all you need if you have to cook. But the location is quite far away from Shinjuku station, the apartment was just situated in the Shinjuku district but not the area near Shinjinku station. Therefore, its not as convenient as we thought.
rooms were just separated by doors that could not be locked. If you speak, normally people in the other room can hear you. this apartment will be a nice place for you to stay if you dun mind this
Nice but be careful. The apartment was in a different area than the location of her studio (which is the address listed on her advertisement). We ended up off the main street and somewhat secluded. Be sure to communicate clearly with Marika about exactly what time you plan to arrive - we almost missed her because she misunderstood our arrival time. We would have been stranded with our luggage for 3-4 hours with no where to go (and it was hot and we were tired). Additionally, she charged us an additional fee for "electricity usage" which was never discussed prior to our booking. Also, be sure you double lock the door when you are there - she walked in on us twice without even knocking and we had no idea that she was coming. It was a decent price but I would consider other places if I were ever to go to Tokyo again.
