Walk through beautiful reserve to beach and hike wildlife reserve.
Private heated pool surrounded by 1000 acres of wildlife reserve.
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at Allen's beautiful house. The house was large, comfortable, and the backyard was very spacious so that we could enjoy various outdoor activities. The guest cottage in the backyard was surprisingly comfortable and proved to be a nice getaway from the rest of the house. Although we couldn't figure out how to heat the pool, it was a great addition to the house, which was necessary during our stay, due to the extremely high temperatures. The house is very closely placed to a wildlife refuge, which seemed to extend into the backyard as we did see a few turkeys and deer. We were also about a 5 minute drive from a nice and seemingly private beach. Overall, our experience was great, and I would definitely want to stay here again.
The house was perfect! It was a very large spacious house, in a beautiful location, and Allen was very helpful!
Fun getaway w/gardens and Peconic shore through the Morton reserve trails. Jessup's Neck beach was our favorite hike.
The pool was heated; really liked the guest cottage for my older kids.
Younger kids fed birds from hand as promised :)
In middle of Sag Harbor, Southampton, Bridgehampton, and Shelter Island Ferry.
For dinners we liked Bell & Anchor, American Hotel, Harlow East, and MJ Dowlings for sports bar/burgers. LT Burger in Sag a huge hit w/the kids, especially the shakes.
House was neat and well furnished, big outdoor grilling/dining space, broker always responded quickly.
Whole family looks forward to staying here again soon.
We had a wedding Memorial Day Weekend in Southampton. Last year our family fell in love w/quaint Sag Harbor so we wanted to stay a week near both and away from the crazy traffic on Montauk Hghwy/27A. Great move, this house is impeccable with every amenity.
The lawn is vast and surrounded by fruit trees, giant maples, and black walnuts; the house and grounds are professionally maintained by maid and landscaping services. Great outdoor grilling at sunset. The inside is sunny w/beautiful furniture and appliances, all new tv's, excellent beds, and a kitchen to die for.
By far, the kid's favorites were the heated pool, walks thru the reserve, spotting young deer, and going down the path to the Jessup Neck private beach on sunny Memorial Day. The pictures can not do this house justice, and it's an oasis surrounded by nature.
Sag Harbor is very close, and we really liked the B. Smith's on the mega-yacht marina, and the American Hotel's vintage charm for dinner. Southampton is also close and we enjoyed Red Bar and 75 Main restaurants the most. The Shelter Island Ferry is less than 10 minutes away to spend an afternoon at Sunset Beach.
We highly recommend this house to others and will come back again. The broker, Allen, was very courteous, showed us around, and remained accessible if we had any questions.
Don't forget to walk the reserve/sanctuary and feed the birds from your hand!
It’s a two minute walk to the amazing Morton National Wildlife Refuge with its own beach and opportunity to feed birds right from your hand on the way to Jessups Neck beach. Jessups Neck separates Little Peconic Bay from Noyack Bay and makes the refuge an important migration corridor for a variety of birds. The peninsula consists of three miles of undeveloped shoreline; one of the few shorelines without armoring or development that remain in the area. Its habitats are varied and include sandy and rocky beaches; salt and freshwater marshes; brackish and freshwater ponds; lagoons; tidal flats; old fields; and oak and cedar forests.
