Perfect spot for our Family in Jerome
I took the wife and two daughters to Jerome for Spring Break (beats waiting in line at Disney). One was 13 and the other 6. While I could write a 6 star review about Jerome itself, I'll focus on the lodging.
The apartment above the candy store really did have a million dollar view. The accommodations were comfortable, the space was plentiful, and the 2 levels helped us feel like we all had our own space (even though the girls slept with us on the 3rd floor after ghost hunting).
If there was one complaint it would be that we couldn't get good pressur for the showerhead. It was serviceable, but barely. Not a deal breaker since the ladies were all happy to use the tub feature instead.
The host was as accommodating as we could hope and the trip and I wouldn't hesitate to both stay at this location again and recommend it to any friend.
I should also add the parking lot next to the building made it easy to park closely to the unit at all times (you should ask why there is an open space to park next to the building - there is a grisly store for every square foot in Jerome!).
In summary, great value, location, and view made this a perfect place in Jerome for our trip!
Highlight of Our Trip!!!
Jerome is a great place to visit and the "Million Dollar Views" 2 story apartment, in the middle of town, was a fabulous place to stay.
The views from the decks are amazing and the apartment is very comfortable and part of the unique experience of visiting Jerome. There are lots of things to do for a day or 2, especially poking around the local shops, visiting the Douglas Mansion in the State Park, sampling Arizona wines in the wine bars and good food at the nearby restaurants (we enjoyed Grapes and the Mile High) ... and of course, sitting on the deck and enjoying the view!
I am staying here again if I am ever in the neighborhood.
Wonderful views, homey accommodations and all we could possibly need in a home away from home.
The property was clean and very homey, warm and welcoming. Tom and Artis had all of the comforts of home available to us. Tom was sweet to check on us to make sure all of our needs were met! Super hosts!!
View was lovely. Convenient location.
The apartment is very comfortable, although the floors and stairs are not level at all,( it seems to lend to the charm). Everything was supplied. Plenty of spices, coffee, sugar, and such. We mostly ate lunches and dinner out. King bed was very comfortable. Tub is just like ours back home, great for bathing kids, only so-so for showers. I didn't mind though, the location and comfort of the rest of the apartment more than made up for that.
During the week Jerome is very laid-back. Restaurants and businesses tend to open late and close early. The town becomes a different place on the weekends. Fun to watch all the people and vehicles go past, while sitting on the balcony. Tried every restaurant. Bobby D's barbeque was fantastic. Have the bruschetta at Grape's during their $5.00 appetizer night. Haunted Hamburger has 2 half price sandwich nights,(Ask to sit at the bar/balcony).
There is a Dollar General down the hill, and a Walmart within a few miles. Lots of awesome hiking at state parks and in Cottonwood. A day trip to Sedona was enough for us. The hiking at Red Rock park was the best.
Glad I decided to stay in Jerome. Sedona had too many tourist and businesses for me.
The name doesn't lie. The view was always stunning. The sunrises spectacular.
A lovely 2 story apartment. Amazing views from both floors.
Feels like home. Very relaxing.
Would definitely stay here again. The stairs can be a challenge after a night of fun.
