The location was great, lots of construction noise. The room was not worth the money

We had a great time in the city and done a lot of walking around and looking at the sites . The location is perfect for seeing the history that Charleston has to offer . We flew in and did not have to have a vehicle and it was great . Definitely take a buggy ride you will understand more about the city and all that it has two offer . Go across the bay and see Patriots point it is well worth the time .

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to write. Yes, our location is certainly the BEST! We feel like our price point is great also as we are less than half the price of any hotel room in downtown historic Charleston. And we are clean :). Thanks for all of your fun tips as well! Paula

Adequately furnished in a perfect location. The owner was very helpful in accommodating us.

We enjoyed our stay. A lot of building construction is going on next door and across Broad street. Work typically began around 0600 AM (too early). Other than that, we had a great stay. Location, location, location! Loved the location.

A little disappointed

  • 3 of 5

I'll start off by saying that this place is located in a great location and that the owner is very helpful and responsive. It was clean and overall we were pretty comfortable. However it's a bit older than we expected and all of the furniture seems very cheap. Many parts of the house, such as the dining room, aren't really furnished much at all. You can tell that this used to be an office because large florescent lights still remain on the ceilings of each room. The bedroom does get a lot of light through the windows at night, it seems like blackout curtains would be a good option. It is also very noisy since it is right next to the street. Currently the building across the street and right next door are both under construction which is unsightly and noisy. The bathroom only had three towels in it, some hand soap and a bar of soap. The owner was happy to give us some more towels upon request but we had to go to the store to get our own bath products and shampoos, etc. I think this place would be so much better with the purchase of some additional furniture of better quality, more towels on hand as well as bath products. It has the potential to be really nice with just a few added features.

Within walking distance of almost everything!

  • 5 of 5

I loved staying in this quaint apartment that was within walking distance to almost everything in downtown Charleston.

I walked the picturesque Battery and Waterfront Park every night. I ate at the Brown Dog Deli which was right across the street and visited the Charleston Bakehouse that was just down East Bay.

The owner was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

Great Location

  • 4 of 5

The location is really great. Only minor complaint is that the bedroom is on the street and it can be loud if you're a light sleeper.
