This is a newly renovated 2nd floor apartment on a private pedestrian alley. It gets wonderful afternoon sun.
Parking for a small or mid-sized car is available upon request ($20 per night)
It's a fully equipped space with a small, private, outdoor seating patio in the back with a table that seats 4. There is a fireplace for those occasional chilly SF nights.
The owner travels 90% of the time and lives out of a suitcase while here. You will notice very few personal items.
The bed is a brand new Queen. There is a separate Kitchen and dining / living area that includes a Full sleeper sofa. Cable TV with Netflix and Pandora. Wifi.
Washer and Dryer in the Basement.
The flat is located near the heart of North Beach and all it has to offer, Coit Tower and Fisherman's Wharf.
There is excellent public transport and many private car options.
Dogs accepted at our discretion. Please inquire.
Michelle is from Taiwan and works in Commercial Insurance in downtown SF.
Tommy is from Colorado and works in Technology in Soma.
We have two Labrador Retrievers (who do not live on the property) and feel very fortunate to be living in San Francisco!
We travel to Asia a couple times a year and try to spend time with my family in Colorado and Arizona.
Its a spectacular property on Telegraph Hill. Amazing views, well appointed and close to wherever you want to be in San Francisco.
location, Location, LOCATION!
This apartment was in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. It was well appointed and fit our needs.
This apartment was great---nice, safe, clean, convenient neighborhood.
The only hitches were lack of promised parking space for about 18 hours (not owners fault, but no great remedy was had except our moving the car a few times) and the code didn't work to unlock the door. We were locked out upon arrival for at least an hour with no response from owner, but again, not the end of the world.
Other than that, we had a great stay.
This was an awesome location with a very local feel (if you're not used to close quarters city living, then be aware that footsteps above and hallway voices are part of the deal).
The owner sent a good detailed check-in email, but not until the morning of check-in, which is the first time I had heard from him since the payment confirmation email despite an earlier request for quick info so we could better plan our stay.
We had booked for 2 adults and 1 child, and the owner had explained the sleeper sofa was a little off, but that it could still be used with specific instructions. Well, we followed those instructions exactly, and it was still not usable as a double bed. My daughter slept on the couch just fine, but good thing she was small! Also, there were a few small things around the apartment that needed to be fixed, but nothing that really inconvenienced us (except for the bed).
Awesome food within walking distance. Awesome. For those with a car, be aware the garage is on Green Street and is on a fairly steep angle to negotiate into, and is small (but typical for SF). The patio out back is nice and quiet, and we enjoyed wine and snacks out there every afternoon after a full day of sightseeing.
Overall a great stay, and would recommend.
The small apartment had everything we needed while we were in SF, including a very nice professional grade kitchen. It was a fantastic jumping-off point for about 80% of our stay. We were able to visit Chinatown, Fisherman's Warf, Coit Tower - all by walking. There were an amazing amount of restaurants & coffee shops nearby. We walked and/or used Uber with no issues to visit all other venues which included the Golden Gate Bridge and Botanic Gardens. I really appreciated the flavor of staying in a neighborhood as opposed to a hotel. We'll stay here again if we get back to SF in the future!
The apartment was perfect for us. We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 16 and 12 year old children). We are seasoned travelers and have stayed in many apartments around the world. We felt at home here and could see ourselves living and working here. Thank you Tommy and San Francisco for making our experience extremely enjoyable.
My husband and I and our pup stayed in the apartment for a week over the Thanksgiving holidays. After we resolved some communication issues with the owner regarding our assigned parking space, our week was dilemma-free. On foot, the apartment is convenient to the great restaurants and shops in North Beach and to the rest of San Francisco by car. We parked our car for the week and used Uber for all of our road trips. It was safe, efficient and inexpensive and eliminated the worries about driving and parking in an unfamiliar city. The apartment
is simply but tastefully decorated and is very clean. This was the 7th VRBO of our extended road trip and was by far the cleanest. And the view is wonderful. The only downsides: It's a hilly neighborhood. If you have cardiac or respiratory issues, these may detract from your enjoyment of the area. There is no "green space" right outside your door. If your pet is with you, the walk to the nearest park is several blocks away. Finally, the alleyway leading to the apartment needs better nighttime lighting.
