About Leyda and Humberto

We manage three condos in the same building since 2003. Two luxury 2-bedroom penthouses and one affordable 1-bedroom condo.

My siblings, cousins, friends and I have all lived up at Golf y Playa. We take great pride in knowing that our family traditions that were born here have become the culture of Golf y Playa and the vacation experience our guests have come to enjoy. Today, the second generation of our family is growing and fast becoming a part of Golf y Playa.

What drew us to this spot back in 2000 is what draws most of our Northern Guests year after year: its unparalleled location, our Caribbean people, and the pristine Porta del Sol waters, the best playgrounds and most brilliant jewel of Puerto Rico. The natural beauty of the region has always captivated my family. We believe there is no other place in our Island where you will see such beautiful gardens and lush stands of mangroves. Our guests and my family alike love the incomparable experience of this Caribbean Style living at Golf y Playa, where beach, sand, snorkeling, fishing and relaxation are the way of life. The host was very communicative. He sent very good directions via e-mail and text guiding me to the location of the condo. He checked in on us twice via text while we were there on location. I really enjoyed this condo the place was immaculately kept and in a very quiet golf resort that is extremely well maintained. In the 6 days we spent at the condo there were people cleaning and mowing several days. The beach behind the condo was very quiet. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay this place is perfect. I could not have been happier with the location.

Perfect accommodation in dream like location

The location is perfect - deep in the gated and fenced off private villas, condos and golf courses area. The 4th floor apartment we used overlooks the small sandy beach, shaded by picturesque coconut palms and ocean, exactly as on advertising photos. This is truly idyllic. The owners took a great care to maintain the apartment as a living home, so one can feel very comfortable (unlike in some of the "cold" hotel, with no homely touch). Despite of the recent hurricane damage to the island there were hardly any traces of that to be found at the apartment itself or in the surrounding privately owned area. The owners took great care of preparing everything for our arrival and were very helpful and promptly responding to our need and queries, for all which we are ever so grateful. We also had two owners' kayaks to our disposal, at no extra charge nor any restrictions, and paddling along the mangrove forest, small beaches, iguanas, birds and coral reef was really exceptional, treasured, unforgettable. The shallow reef itself is only about 10 meters from the shore and very interesting to snorkel around, if the water is sufficiently clear. The area is very secure, so one can concentrate on enjoying the peace & quiet in the idyllic nature surrounding. The edge of a wild jungle can be seen just beyond the fence, but there are no dangerous or unpleasant creatures to worry about. The nearby Buyé Beach was the best from those available in the area. Not far to shops, supermarkets and restaurants either (unless you happen not to have a car). I would highly recommend staying in this apartment to anyone seeking a nice and very pleasant, peaceful holiday.

Very clean condo with a beautiful view

Great communication with the owner, no issues with our stay. Restaurants are close, so is a grocery store. Condo is in a gated community so no worries, is in a somewhat secluded area anyway. The beach out front is nice and has spots with shade. The pool area is super clean, people were using it at night as well. Condo has its own parking space, which is close. Use the stairs, the elevator is very slow. When driving in at night we saw a few crabs walking around, so watch out for them, was cool! You will enjoy the drive in once past the first gate, lovely development with a broad range of luxury cars in many of the driveways. A very classy neighborhood. Thank you for your hospitality Humberto, we will be back!

Great experience

We loved the property. The owners were very helpful. The only disappointment we encounter was finding out we couldn't swim on the beach due to protected coral area. However the beach it's only 20 minutes by car. We also took advantage of the kayak to look at the coral reef. I highly recommend this property.

Great Trip & Location

The location was easy to find, and speed bumps certainly keep you slow... the owner was great with directions providing screen shots. Grocery only 1/2 mile up the main road with some great restaurants. The Kayaks were fun to use for exploring and amazing fish snorkeling right off the beach. And easy day trips to both lighthouses and the Bio Bay. Great Trip!
