This three bedroom house is a spacious 1900 sq ft on 64 ft of relaxing, private lakefront. It has the added benefit of being located just a mile from the conveniences of the village of Penn Yan. When you enter the house from the multi-car parking area you will find a roomy upper foyer, the three bedrooms and stairs to the main living area. Two of the bedrooms overlook the lake through an enclosed porch. They have an adjoining pass through door, and one offers a staircase to the first floor. Each of the three bedrooms sleeps two.
Take either the front or back staircase to the first level and the kitchen, bathroom and living room. The large eat-in kitchen has newer stainless appliances (gas range/oven, fridge and microwave). The full bath has a charming claw foot tub converted to a shower for your convenience. The living room looks over the lake through another enclosed porch, which has a view from three sides. An open-air side deck also overlooks the lake.
The best part is the beauty and charm of the lake itself. From the comfort of the house you can enjoy gorgeous views, the sound of the waves on the shore, the amazing sunsets, and the brilliant stars. Just a few steps out the door you can lounge in an Adirondack chair with your beverage of choice, float on a raft, go for a swim, or fish from the dock (license may be required).
Other attractions in the area: wine tours, dining, shopping, golf, hiking, waterfalls, Watkins Glen (camping and Nascar races), Corning Museum of Glass, Cornell University, The Windmill Farm and Craft Market.
We the owners, Dan and Kathy, come from different backgrounds and different parts of the country. Dan is from Kansas and Kathy is from Long Island, NY. We crossed paths in college in the Finger Lakes Region and fell in love with each other and the area. We have been married for 39 years and have three grown daughters. Since purchasing the property in 2010 we have added three wonderful son in laws and a beautiful granddaughter to our family.
Kathy purchased this house in 2010
As mentioned above we have strong connections with the area. We have vacationed with friends at Keuka Lake for many years and have always had a fun and relaxing time. We think you will too!
Our house is located on the desirable East side of the lake and is close to the conveniences of Penn Yan. Compared to many other Keuka Lake properties we have minimal steps involved as you navigate from the parking area to the house and to the lakefront. Also, there are so many places to visit in our immediate area. Visit the web sites marked on our map to help plan your Keuka Lake vacation.
My husband and I rented this cottage for two weeks, it was perfect for our needs. The cottage is very close to town, within walking distance of the outlet trail. It was clean, neat, and nicely furnished. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the kitchen. The outdoor porch is a perfect place to sit and read or just stare at the water. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
The Finger Lakes are a perfect spot for a family vacation relaxed and peaceful. The local wineries and craft breweries are a delight to tour. There is plenty to do in the area with many good restaurants and sights to see. The lake is clean and absolutely beautiful so inviting.
We would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to come back again
This cottage was perfect for a relaxing fall vacation with my husband. The Finger Lakes are beautiful at that time of year, and you get the most stunning views being right on the lake. The house is clean, there's lots of room, and there are cute decorating touches all over. The appliances in the kitchen were like brand new, better than what we have at home!! The large upstairs tv room could use an update, but we spent most of our time downstairs facing the lake anyway so it doesn't really matter. It was nice to sit outside on the warmer days or in the covered porch on cooler days, and just enjoy the view and eat and drink and relax. We also loved going to all of the local wineries, there are so many to choose from - make sure you bring a couple of bottles back home with you. This was definitely a great vacation and it didn't break our budget.
My family and I stayed here for a week last summer and absolutely loved our time here. The house is spacious, clean, welcoming and in a great location (right on the lake and close to Penn Yan). My favorite activity was relaxing on the porch or the dock. It was also nice to be able to explore the surrounding areas at our leisure(vineyards, Watkins Glen, Penn Yan). I highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it!
My family stayed here last year and just reserved our week for this summer. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation swimming, enjoying the view, and sitting around the firepit at night. We brought our kayaks and had a great time paddling around. Trips to Watkins Glenn, the Belhurst Castle, and a winery were excellent bonuses that didn't eat away at our time on the lake. The house itself was spacious, had what we needed, new appliances, was clean and nicely decorated. We're looking forward to staying there again this summer!
