The close proximity to beach access made it very easy to go to the beach. The Decks outside were well shaded and very comfortable. Plenty of privacy.
This is a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our stay there. When we got there the fan in the master bedroom was making alot of noise so we called the property manager. They were there in no time at all and took care of the problem asap. The property was well maintained. The swinging couch on the back porch overlooking the lagoon was lovely and we got a beautiful breeze out there each evening. The walk to the beach only takes a few minutes and it was great having our beach chairs and umbrellas set up for us each day (not sure of the name of the company that handled that for us), so we just had to bring ourselves and the cooler! The outdoor shower was ok, water pressure not that great but good for rinsing off after the beach. The ping pong table got alot of use! Went to the restaurant at the Boardwalk Inn and were not very impressed. We had been there on previous trips and it used to be great. Overpriced and mediocre at best but a great staff. The Long Island Cafe (next to the Harris Teeter market on Isle of Palms) was excellent! Everyone loved their meals! Also Poe's on Sullivan's Island was great for dinner - excellent burgers and awesome staff! All in all a great house and we hope to go back sometime!
This property was really nice ! The beds were so comfortable. The furnishings were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay. Beachside vacations and home way are really great companies to do business with! Will certainly use them again!
The house was perfect! The location to the beach, activities, and Charleston was ideal. The home was clean, well equipped and very enjoyable in every aspect.
We've been coming to Isle of Palms for 15 plus years and have stayed in Wild Dunes many times. Upon arriving I appreciated the tip from another review about entering the 2nd Pelican Bay, as we did not and then I remembered its the next one so we didn't drive around to much longer to find the house. This house was a great place for 2 families with 4 children! We did miss seeing and hearing the ocean every morning, but that was just a 3-5 min walk. The pool was about a 8 min walk. The house was beautiful and met all of our needs for the week we stayed there. There are grilling utensils just have to look hard for them as we didn't find them until we used the grill. Wild Dunes is a gated area which is a huge bonus as the beaches are not packed nor are all of the bike and walk paths. We rented bikes this year as that was a first and it was great to have the bikes delivered (before we even arrived at the house) and picked up. We even called to change out a bike for a bigger one and it was done with an hour or so, great service IOP Beach Chair! I truly can't say enough about this house or Wild Dunes! If i had to rate anything low it would be the screened door, the screen was broke out so didn't keep the bugs away, but I know this area and always bring bug spray. On another note do not miss out on all the WONDERFUL places to dine while in IOP, Sullivan's Island and Charleston! See you next year, just on the beach!
The house was great will be going back soon and the food downtown great to. Would love to live there.
Wonderful house! We enjoyed one week. Great view, very clean, great porch, beach nearby. Wonderful space for 4 adults and 3 kids. We would recommend it to every one.
