Beautiful cabin, wonderful host
My stay in Steuben was incredible. The property was every bit as private as advertised. Sam was so kind as well. He and his daughter helped me out with a flat on the rental the day of checkout, and she even gave me the name of and directions to someone in town to help me get it fixed. Don't miss out!

Nice cabin
Cabin was very cute and clean. Kitchen has everything you need. Bathroom was very nice with an updated shower. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The bathroom window has no covering which was a little too creepy for me. I wanted to cover it with a towel but the only way to do it would have required putting a nail in the wall and of course we wouldn’t do that. The upstairs loft was perfect with 3 beds and a dresser. The main floor bedroom was fine but the mattress was really not good. I had to sleep on the tiny couch instead because the mattress was so hard. The furniture in the main room was small, very old and hard to get cozy on to watch a movie. I recommend an ottoman to be able to at least put your feet up. The table and chairs on the deck are also old, flimsy and very dirty. I had read other reviews about there being no chairs for around the fire so we brought our own. If I hadn’t known that we’d have been really bummed. It might be a good idea to make mention of it because most places provide them so it may be something some may not think to bring. We had fun with the canoe and appreciated having use of it. The owners were even nice enough to allow us to take it to a neighboring lake which we had asked to do, but then changed our minds. We had fun fishing even though sadly all the fish had parasites (which technically you can cook out of them). Overall we had a very nice time and appreciate a pet friendly cabin!!

Exploring the outdoors
Exactly what we were hoping for! Beautiful property. The home was cozy and well stocked. Walking trails and riding trails were accessible from the property. Thunderbowl is less than 2 miles away. We hope to book again next year. A big thanks to our hosts for welcoming us. Mark sharkk
