Huge Oceanfront 6BR Home in Wild Dunes w/Pool Table/Ping Pong Table. Sports Card!

Bedrooms 6
Half Baths1
Property type house

About the property

6 Bedrooms, 5.5 Baths (Sleeps 14)

The Island features a wide selection of vacation homes ranging from mansions that rent for $30,000 a week to the “JC Long” homes built following World War Two for returning veterans. Grand Pavilion 64 is one of the largest oceanfront homes in Wild Dunes Resort making it truly unique in the community. Where Grand Pavilion 64 is not a classic WWII home, it is similar in that it is designed to accommodate a large family on a budget looking for a fun vacation where focus is on the family, not the accomodations. Recent renovations include, new carpeting, new blinds and new living room furniture! It is clean and offers comfortable bedding for 14 at an attractive rate. It does not have the amenities or whistle and bells of neighboring homes that have seen recent major renovations, but will offer your family a nice place to stay oceanfront, for a week at the beach.

Location is everything at 64 Grand Pavilion and is the primary reason, next to price, and the enormous size of the property in choosing this home. 64 Grand Pavilion is ideally located in the heart of the Grand Pavilion, this home is close to the Grand Pavilion North Croquet Lawn and across from the Boardwalk. The Croquet Lawn is a perfect place for families to gather for a game of croquet or better yet a beautiful lawn to toss the football or kick the soccer ball. The Boardwalk is the heart of Wild Dunes Resort and features two oceanfront swimming pools, beach chair and umbrella rentals, Duney’s Cafe, beach shop, and ice cream parlor. Entertainment can often be found on the Boardwalk during summer afternoons and evenings.

Grand Pavilion 64 has many features that make it ideal for large family gatherings. The home features three oceanfront decks (partial ocean view from lower level) as well as three smaller decks overlooking the drive. The living area is spacious and features a pool table that can also be used as a ping pong table. The dining room table can accommodate 12 people. Along with the living area and kitchen, the first floor also features a bedroom with two twin beds and a half bath. The second level features three bedrooms. The first bedroom on this level is one of the two master suites. Featuring a king bed, sitting area, spacious bathroom and ocean front deck, this bedroom is wonderful escape. The second floor has two other bedrooms both with full baths and queen beds. The third floor features the second master suite. It too has a king bed, oceanfront deck, spacious bathroom, sitting area and offers one of the best views on the Atlantic in a home at the Resort. The second bedroom on this floor features two queen beds and full bath. One of the most unusual features of this home is that each floor (1st, 2nd and 3rd) has a full size washer and dryer.

From a large family vacation to a gathering of old friends, Grand Pavilion 64 will offer basic accommodations for a lifetime of memories at the beach on the Isle of Palms at a wonderful price.

Features Wild Dunes Resort Club Sports Card! A Sports Card is required to access the Club Swim Center, Club Fitness Room (entry fee), Tennis Center (court fees apply). Access granted to Palm Cove Pool after 3pm and Boardwalk Inn Pool after 4pm with Sports Card.

The Isle of Palms, like all barrier islands, has a dynamic beach near the inlet that separates the island from Dewees Island. The ebb and flow of the changing tides, through the inlet, creates and moves sand bars just off shore. These sandbars will channel waves between them, resulting in the massive buildup of sand along portions of the island where other areas may develop temporary erosional hot spots. These hot spots will feature a sand beach throughout the day outside an hour or so before and after high tide. Where a dry sand beach may be limited in these few areas at high tide, walking either direction will lead to an area where the sandbars have created an expansive beach to enjoy at any tide.

The location is awesome, but the house in diners of a makeover.

  • 2 of 5

The house needs a paint job, the dishwasher needs to be replaced, the washer and dryers (on all three floors) need to be replaced. The showers on the middle floor all had mold, the facets all need to be replaced, some of them are striped so you can't tell if the hot water or cold water was on in the shower. I could go on and on about the maintenance issues. There were two good things about the house, it is big and it is in a very good location (nextbtonthe beach and next to the Wild Dunes pavilion and pools. The management company (Beachside) was very accommodating and responsive. I actually felt bad about calling or emailing them with issue after another. I gave this property 2 stars simply because of the location. The price (almost $9000) was not worth it.

Perfect for Extended Family Trip

  • 5 of 5

This home is right on the beach and perfect for a trip to house a large, extended family under one roof. Grandad can sit on the balcony and watch the kids play on the beach. Lots of room so you can be together or retreat to your own room's balcony. A wonderful family vacation. Wonderful Wild Dunes amenities. Only downside---the outdoor grill needs to be replaced!

6 bedroom ocean front house

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of room and the main floor with the open floor plan was great. It would have been better if the elevator had been working since there were 3 flights of stairs if you were staying on the top floor.
