About The Owner

In 2000 my family and I came to visit and we were so taken by the beauty of the island that we decided to come back and raise our children here. Coronado is a beautiful place with some of the worlds best beaches.

The Owner purchased this house in 2000

What makes this house unique

we enjoy watching the sunset from our front garden while drinking a glass of wine under the olive tree and watching fireworks in the summer time from our back courtyard

Car: not necessary

Charming town of Coronado is wonderful for family vacations, walk to restaurants, ferry and 5 minute drive to one of the best beaches in the country. Sea World, San Diego Zoo, shopping in upscale La Jolla and the museums of Balboa Park make San Diego a wonderful place to visit and Coronado the best place to stay.

Perfect for us!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a month here this summer and hated to leave. For one week of the rental, our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were with us. The house worked equally well in both cases. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It is equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is great! We could easily walk to the bayside beach, the market and to restaurants. Actually, we walked everywhere except the golf course. The yard/garden was a wonderful place to relax and spend time.

I guess the most telling comment is that we reserved for next summer before we left. We can't wait to be back here!

Great Coronado house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for the week of the 4th of July and couldn't have picked a better house on this perfect little island. 2 families with kids age 3, 4, 7, and 7. Close walk to the Bay portion of the island where you could see fireworks on the 4th but we watched from the front yard with a few bottles of wine on the 3rd :). Still able to walk with all of the kids with a wagon to the Del beach since this house is only ~a mile away. While at the house, you get a pretty big kitchen with great appliances. We really didn't hang out at the house much during the day since we were here for the beach and to just be outside since we were escaping the Arizona 115 degree days. We did enjoy the fenced in front yard letting the kids run around without worrying about them running into traffic. Beds are very comfortable and a large dining table is perfect if you want to gather the family for a meal. If you want a great house on 1 of the best places to vacation in America, you must stay here.

Beautiful and convenient

  • 5 of 5

Our multi-family (4 adults and 2 teenagers) vacation was as pleasant and convenient as we could have hoped for. With each member of our party wanting different things in a vacation ( some wanted nightlife and excitment, some wanted a triathlon training ground, others wanted only serenity and quiet dinners), one thing we all agreed on was our choice of accomodations. Clean, stylish, well appointed, and very comfortable. Location is great for access to downtown San Diego while still being out of the way and quiet on the beautiful and charming Coronado Island. Owner is friendly and responsive. We would all defintiely return to the San Diego area and we would stay at this property again. We would recommend it to anyone from mature couples to active singles to families with children. There is something for everyone and the home is both beautiful and convenient.

Charming, charming, charming

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 adults (and one small dog) greatly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, beautifully maintained home. Everything was as depicted in the photos and listing.

It was a pleasure to walk a few blocks to discover restaurants, ferry to San Diego, beautiful view of downtown across the bay, shops and bike rental. One of the most beautiful beaches in the San Diego area was a 20 minute walk away. It is an easy drive to all the attractions in the area, however, we found that we greatly enjoyed discovering the charms of Coronado Island which were all within walking distance or a very short bike ride or drive.

The owner was very helpful in answering all questions before our arrival and during our stay, even stopping over to fix the front fountain which had shut off.

In addition to being very comfortable, and well-situated in a quiet neighborhood, the house conveyed a feeling of serenity and calmness.

We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family (and already have!)
