About Neva Kaye email: email@example.com
In 2000 my family and I came to visit Coronado and we were so taken by the beauty of the island that we decided to relocate from the east coast and raise our children here. Coronado is a beautiful place with some of the worlds best beaches. We have been fortunate to have found this lovely home and I have been making it available for Coronado visitors to enjoy it during the summers, many guests have become friends that I look forward to welcome every year.

Why Neva Kaye email: email@example.com chose Coronado
Loved the charm of the Spanish architecture, over the years we have worked to make the house comfortable by adding air conditioning and a large stone patio surrounded with the rose garden for guest to enjoy the outdoors. In early 2020 I added nectarine, guava, fig, cherimoya, peach and apple trees as well as started the vegetable boxes which I hope provides some organic veggies for guests.
What makes this House unique
Enjoy siting under the olive tree listening to the soothing sounds of the water fountain and the wild life that come to drink from it, in the summer the beautiful fragrant roses surround the patio and in the early spring, the Jazmine tree perfumes the air at night.

Worse Experience in 30 years
First of all Homeowners lives in a converted garage in the back of the house separated by a thin wall. The owner Neva heard us and we heard her and her husband showering and talking late at night. She told us the first couple of days to be quiet because she is. There were roaches in the kitchen and bedrooms, broken door handles and broken window cranks. Shower did not drain in bathroom off the kitchen. Toilet didn’t flush without using a plunger. The worse part is Neva is attempting to keep our deposit by fabricating how her house was left. She expects you to clean the house to make it “Rent Ready” for the next renters instead of paying a professional cleaning crew to do it. I bought cleaning supplies the second day we were they because the house was dirty. I spent days cleaning walls, baseboard and spider webs. I highly recommend you DO NOT waste your vacation and MONEY on a home that is not maintained and a owner who is trying to get renters to pay for her repairs that have not been taken care.
I have happily hosted renters in my Coronado home for the past 13 years. This is the first and only time a tenant has left the house in such poor condition that I was forced to keep the security deposit in order to cover the substantial cost of cleaning and repair. For example, the damages consisted of: broken door handle, broken toilet and shower handles, badly stained towels, carpet and bedding, and a stained and ripped comforter.
Regarding the suggestion the house is expected to be “rent ready,” I have always provided a cleaning service who comes to the home every 15 days of a guest’s stay in order to keep the house clean and prepare the house for the next tenants. However, when the cleaning service arrived, the tenants turned her away. Although I did not request it, the renters then assured me the house would be “rent ready.”
Instead, the house was left full of dog fur and sand, and the kitchen appliances and grill were full of grease. Additionally, the no smoking rule was violated, as cigars were found in the kitchen trash can. Water, electric and gas bills amounted to just shy of $800 for a family of five and one weekend guest, which is substantially more than past renters.
Lastly, the reviewer above did not issue any complaints regarding the cleanliness of the home until after she learned their security deposit would not be returned. As noted above, I incurred costs in an amount greater than the deposit as a result of the mistreatment of my home.
I believe my rapport with all other prior renters over the past thirteen years, including many couples and families who come annually, is evidence of my sincere desire to go above and beyond for renters.
Better and better!
We have rented this property before and been extremely pleased. Each time we come there are improvements and additions that enhance our stay. It's a lovely house in a great location. The only bad thing I can say about it is that eventually we have to leave!
Thank you so much, I am happy that you enjoyed your vacation and look forward to welcoming you again
Tuscany in Coronado is the perfect place for rest and refreshment.
We loved our stay at this lovely home in Coronado. It has everything we needed for comfort and making meals. It's perfectly located to walk to the bay and an easy walk to restaurants and the Coronado Ferry Landing. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful patio next to the fountain, reading and just enjoying the beautiful weather. We will definitely be back.
Thank you very much! I am so happy you had a great time staying at my property and look forward to welcoming you again
Perfect for us!
My husband and I spent a month here this summer and hated to leave. For one week of the rental, our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter were with us. The house worked equally well in both cases. The house is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. It is equipped with everything we needed and more. The location is great! We could easily walk to the bayside beach, the market and to restaurants. Actually, we walked everywhere except the golf course. The yard/garden was a wonderful place to relax and spend time.
I guess the most telling comment is that we reserved for next summer before we left. We can't wait to be back here!
I am very happy you enjoyed your stay with your family and grateful to welcome you again in 2017!
Beautiful and convenient
Our multi-family (4 adults and 2 teenagers) vacation was as pleasant and convenient as we could have hoped for. With each member of our party wanting different things in a vacation ( some wanted nightlife and excitment, some wanted a triathlon training ground, others wanted only serenity and quiet dinners), one thing we all agreed on was our choice of accomodations. Clean, stylish, well appointed, and very comfortable. Location is great for access to downtown San Diego while still being out of the way and quiet on the beautiful and charming Coronado Island. Owner is friendly and responsive. We would all defintiely return to the San Diego area and we would stay at this property again. We would recommend it to anyone from mature couples to active singles to families with children. There is something for everyone and the home is both beautiful and convenient.
Thank you so much for your review and sorry for the late response, you were great guests and would love to welcome you again in the future.
Charming town of Coronado is wonderful for family vacations, walk to restaurants, ferry and 5 minute drive to one of the best beaches in the country. Sea World, San Diego Zoo, shopping in upscale La Jolla and the museums of Balboa Park make San Diego a wonderful place to visit and Coronado the best place to stay.
