Creekwood offers serenity and seclusion, yet it is close to all area activities. The entire cabin has beautiful wood ceilings...central air & heat. A spacious log home that has a fireplace for those fall and winter months...The covered decks afford a comfortable haven to sit on the porch with your coffee in the mornings, & to take in some of of God's glory in the evenings(porch back and front). Spend some time relaxing and watching the fireflies while the Kay de dees sing their songs. Whether you came to relax or are ready for an adventure this cabin is for you.

The owners Sue & Jerry live in Florida and have asked us, Clad & Sandi to rent this wonderful cabin for them,
We will do our best to insure that your vacation is everything you desire.
We love the Mountains and different seasons and this area is secluded yet close to all the activities described.
Spring with all God's Glory and summer with all the fun outdoor activities.... Fall with the glorious leaf changes and winter by the cozy fireplace.
Very tidy cabin, the pool table and hot tub were a hit with my family. Close to plenty of activities.
This cabin was located right where we wanted to be close to a lot of forestry roads we could explore and yet still close enough to towns we've enjoy shopping in the past years. The pool table was mine and my wife's way to wind down each night after dinner and then we could soak in the hot tub to further relax before heading off to a peaceful nights sleep in the very comfortable bed. This was a really nice cabin with everything you could need for a great stay in the mountains. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home.
We are a family of 6 and a half ... me, my husband, our kids (ages 12, 13, 15, & 17), and our dog (who could almost qualify as a rat :) It was fabulous! We've rented several homes through VRBO and this was, by far, the cleanest. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to cleanliness... and was pleasantly surprised when we walked in the door. It instantly felt like home. As others have said, the beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked (a coffee maker, crockpot, blender, can opener, etc.). We did a lot of cooking and there were ample pots & pans (something that has lacked at every other rental we've used). Pictures don't do this house justice... the master suite is GORGEOUS and very roomy. We loved having our room on the top floor with the gameroom in the basement ... the kids didn't keep us up at night playing pool/air hockey/ping pong/darts. Sandi quickly responded to all my questions both before and during our stay. The area (Almond, NC) is beautiful and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. We caught fish in both the pond across the street and the lake within walking distance. My only three wishes would have been ... (1) that there would have been an electric heater in the basement because it stays cold .... (2) a t.v. in the master suite would be nice.... and (3.) that we could have stayed longer. :) We definitely recommend this cabin.
Nestled in the woods only 0.5 miles from the main road we found this cabin to be an excellent home for our family vacation. Creekwood is secluded but not isolated. In fact you can't see any other houses from where it is situated. We found the cabin to be as described and both clean and well maintained. Our 2 teenagers loved to hang around in the basement and play pool. With the master bedroom upstairs it offers privacy. In the evenings we would spend time in the hot-tub spa and watch the fireflies. Everyone found the cabin to comfortable and cozy.
The cabin is situated in a great location with easy access to the Tsali trails for mountain biking or the Nantahala river for white water rafting. Within 20 minutes we could be in downtown Bryson city for shopping and restaurants. Make sure to eat pizza at Anthony's located across from the train depot. The food there is excellent.
Other great places to visit include Fontana Dam, Cherokee, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We took several hikes and for those inclined and up for it we can recommend the Mt. Leconte trail passing through Alum Cave Bluffs, the Jump-Off trail and Charlies Bunion.
Make sure to visit Stoney Hollow farm, near Robbinsville, if you like picking blueberries and delicious peaches. We picked a couple of buckets of blueberries and had them throughout our stay. Ask Sandi for directions.
We can highly recommend this cabin as the perfect spot to enjoy all this area has to offer. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer!
We stayed this past July - the home was so much more than we expected. We're from central Florida (kids 12/14) and have never been to North Carolina. Sandi was a joy to work with and very thoughtful with details for our family. Thank you Sandi, you are a God-send.
THE HOME was immaculately cleaned, ready, waiting and welcoming with lights on (it was late) when we arrived. We pre-planned our meals and had needed staples with us, but Ingles Supermarket in Bryson City is great, and Sandi provides a discount card. The kitchen has everything you need plus more- there are even coffee packets for the maker in case you forget. We even used the crockpot - dinner was waiting when we got home! Nicely decorated, very spacious with the kitchen/living room vaulted ceiling. The bedrooms are roomy yet cozy with very comfortable beds. The master upstairs was wonderful. I believe it's a king size bed, also very comfortable. It was a luxury to wake up, open the balcony doors and enjoy the peace and beauty of the morning. The washer/dryer were also nice to have. This was immediately our home away from home and we looked forward to going home each night.
THE AREA is not around the corner from a 7-11... no hustle/bustle here. The morning mist over the mtns and the views in the area never get old. The little country store in Nantahala Gorge about 8mins away has pretty much anything you might need in a pinch. Bryson City's only about 15mins away, so not a big deal if you plan well. *SPECIAL NOTE: Sandi has taken much time assembling a binder of tips/info - be sure to read it thoroughly upon arrival. We're glad we did - we took advantage of her local Zip Lining discount. Thanks, Sandi!
ACTIVITIES: We Ziplined in Nantahala Gorge, visited the Cherokee Museum/Reservation, and Creek Rose gem hunted in Franklin - so/so success here, but fun. We packed lunches most days, and the park in Bryson City's perfect for a picnic. We also enjoyed the lake down the street frm the cabin. BEST: Tubing at Deep Creek (Bryson City)- VERY inexpensive, about $8/tube for the day - SO MUCH FUN. Also White Water rafting at Ocoee River, TN - pricey, and a drive, but a blast! It's just down-river from the '96 Olympics Kayaking location. LEAST: The Great Smoky Mt RailRoad - very nice, and worth it if you like trains, but we'd white water raft instead.
We'd absolutely stay here again, and recommend to friends/family. In fact, we have!
Thanks, Sandi, look forward to working w/you again! Blessings!
