This stylish 2BR house is the perfect spot to spin some vinyl and enjoy everything Austin. Herman Miller, Eames, KP Mobler and Heywood Wakefield are just a few of the designers whose classic pieces you will find displayed throughout the home. Each bedroom has a full size bed, and the retro-chic bathroom is stocked with plenty of plush towels. Outdoor amenities include an expansive, sloped lawn with established trees, a covered porch, a stone patio, and a large balcony complete with a charcoal grill and vintage fire-starter. The home has all the modern amenities - the galley-style kitchen, with its old Honduran mahogany cabinets and walls, is stocked with all cooking necessities. The adjacent dining room features a gorgeous, mid-century teak dining table. There is a queen-size air mattress available for additional guests.
The property is a scenic walk across the bridge to the popular Rainey Street where locals enjoy award-winning bars and restaurants. The heart of downtown and the warehouse district are only a few blocks away. The house is directly across the street from the famous Live, Love, Paddle kayak rentals and from the famous bat-viewing tours.
Please note that the homeowners live in the downstairs apartment year round.

The house was perfect for the two couples we were. The retro vintage decor was a nice change up from where we would typically stay. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and some seasonings. Please read the description carefully and if you plan on having some friends visit while there, this is not the place for you. We received a call at 8:50 pm saying the music was too loud, noise curfew is at 10pm. The house is fantastic for a nice relaxing time though.
Beautifully outfitted place with eclectic flea market-y finds and nice mid century pieces. Beds are a little soft for our taste but nice linens. You can walk to the river and other places.
Loved the space and decor. My only complaint is the early check out time 10am.
Interesting throwback type residence. Would not stay in this residence again. Too many rules about how to sit in chairs, usage of coasters, being a dingbat if you wipe make up on a white towel. Uncomfortable mattress and air mattress had a hole in it. Creepy tablet that had to be plugged in whole time and if you do not plug it in you get an email to plug it in. . .
Decor is exceptional! Very cozy, comfortable home. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
We stayed for a bachelorette party and the house was beautiful. We were blown away by all the priceless, vintage decor. The house has two rooms with queen size beds and you can still fit two queen sized air mattress'. The house is very close to Sixth St, shopping on Congress, and Barton Springs. I recommend this property for your stay.
