We chose this VRBO because of its location-it is excellent. Right near everything yet one street off the loud busy waterfront. It was private and quiet. Excellent layout for us and our two girls. Kitchen was really well equipped, down to pots and essentials to cook our own lobsters.
Beds were comfortable and linens nice-not the cheap pilly sheets some rentals have. No central and and it was hot. Window a/c units in the bedrooms were perfect. One was newer, the other older and loud. And criticism would be that it would not take much to make this really top notch. A really good cleaning (ceiling fans, curtain rods just dirty) and a little updating would be all it would need. We would stay again.
Location - water view and 1/2 block from the water - walking distance to everything
Cottage - 2 bedroom 2 bath - lots of room, full kitchen, and another separate bar kitchen with full refrigerator and full sink. Also a washer and dryer. Window Air conditioning upon request (and you should request). Secure location. Outdoor patio, BBQ and so much more.
Parking - good parking for 2 cars
Owners - awesome and live on the 3rd floor of the bed and breakfast. Quick to help or fix anything needing fixed.
Can't say enough about this place. It really was a wonderful place to vacation!
From my first contact with owner Heidi this place just felt right. Comfortable, plenty of space for 4-5 people. Like other reviewers said, great location and friendly, helpful owners. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants, close to the harbor. I don't think we could have done better for downtown Plymouth. Highly recommended.
The Winslow Cottage was a pleasant place with plenty of room to spread out. There is a large living room, a dining room with seating for 6 or more with a wall of windows offering a lovely view of the Plymouth harbor, 2 bedrooms each with a full bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. Our hostess, Heidi, was very nice and accommodating. There are lots of nice extras that make an extended stay here very comfortable, including travel shampoo, conditioner, and shower caps in the bathrooms. Extra pillows and blankets for the bedrooms, AC units upon request. There is also a nice little deck to the side of the house with chairs and an umbrella. Really too many good points to mention. The location is the best part, not only a great view but an easy walk to lots of restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing.
The cottage could easily be a 5 star property with some updating of appliances, bathrooms, lighting fixtures, etc, some are just too outdated to be considered charming. Also a good sprucing up and deep cleaning of walls, windows, etc would be in order. Not that it was dirty in the important areas like bathrooms and kitchen, it's just showing signs of its age and wear and tear that happens with vacation rentals. With updating might come a higher price but it would certainly be worth it. As it is the rental is very reasonable and is really a steal at the height of summer.
I highly recommend the property and would not hesitate to stay again.
The hospitality was great as well as the location. We could walk to most if not all of the historical sites and food places.
The cottage worked very well for us. It was easy to get to and just across the street from the water. Easy walking distance to good eating spots!
Our hosts were very informative and gave great dining tips for the area. Lots of room and very nice kitchen area. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this site.
