We had a wonderful experience. Within walking distance to trains to NYC, WTC, Statue of Liberty, and Newport shopping center. One block from great food places, freshly baked bread, hand made bagels, and pasta. Something for everyone!
We loved the brownstone ... the dog park (within the park) across the street ... always had a fur ball or 3 in it ... made us miss ours less! The neighborhood is cozy and we felt comfortable walking in the area at all times. The apartment is very near several markets and close to Grove Square and the Path station as advertised.
We had planned to walk to the Ferry for Ellis Island, but that's the day the snow came ... gorgeous but we hadn't packed the snow boots! We used Lyft from EWR also - quick easy. The kids went to the Giants game so Jersey City was a good pick for us ... most of the time spent in the City. Path was a straight shot into WTC and the new(er) Oculus where you can catch a train anywhere in the City ... and/or walk to 911 Memorial if you like. We highly recommend O'Hara's ... on Cedar, between Greenwich St and Trinity -- not only is it nearby -- the food is great .. and the people watching just as great ... (the #Guinness too).
Ooops, sidetracked --- Ok, the house ... lovely, clean, cozy ... the sun shines in the front (master) windows in the afternoon and makes you want to stay inside! The kitchen is fully equipped, the linens, towels are soft and there were plenty for 6 ... Kristina and Owen were responsive to texts ~ and we arrived early and were able to 'check out' later than posted also! This was great as we were able to spend one more morning in the City before train back to Jersey City and on to EWR.
We'd stay again in a heartbeat ... I'm sure the park is lovely in the Summer and Fall .. confirmed by some of the locals we spoke to. CitiBikes were just around the corner (well, two blocks away) at City Hall ... another option for getting around when there is no snow.
The ONLY thing that wasn't perfect was it got a little chilly - We were never able to get it warmer than 69 degs in the house... even tried to bump up the heat to 72 .. but no matter/69 was warmest. Not a huge deal as we didn't spend too much time in the apt -- although, a thicker comforter for the murphy bed especially would be awesome! (kids were cold at night, but not as bad when using blankets meant for pull out) .... So, bring sweatshirts in cold wx months!
Stay here!! It's convenient and sooo much better than any hotel. You don't feel like a tourist ~ which is great! We didn't try many restaurants in town, but the 2 we did were good - and everyone is very friendly!!

We could not have been happier with our apartment. The owners spared no cost on the finishes of this beautiful property and it is immaculately kept. The kitchen has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. And the location is a couple of blocks from great dining and shopping. Getting into the City is a breeze with a subway station nearby. Can't imagine staying anywhere else when we return to the area! Highly recommended!!!
Property excellent spotless couldn't fault anything would definitely recommend it to anyone 👍
This is a great place for families. The layout and finish are very nice & comfortable & generally very kid safe. Overall a wonderful place just min from Manhattan via the Path
Staying in this well-restored apartment right in Jersey City, just a block from downtown, enhanced the joy of our daughter's wedding. The place was very well-appointed and comfortable for the five of us staying. The layout allowed us to have privacy, if needed, and the kitchen and living room were large and welcoming, if we all wanted to be together. It was nice being across from the park, with its farmers' market on the weekend, and dog area, where dogs could play. The patio area was also a surprise, and made for a good opportunity to experience a private courtyard in the middle of the city. We noted, with appreciation, the fluffy ribbed towels in the bathroom, and the spacious showers. Our overall experience in the apartment was relaxing, during our 3 day (somewhat hectic)wedding experience, and we were pleased to return to rest in comfort.
