If you are looking for a Yellowstone experience, this is it!! Our large property, only a half mile from the Park is the perfect setting to enjoy both the amazing wilderness of Yellowstone, as well as some nice amenities within walking distance!
Silvergate is located at the NE Entrance to Yellowstone. This is the wildest and most rugged section of the Park, and just inside a few miles is the Lamar Valley, acclaimed as the best place to see wildlife. This little mountain town is very quaint, with a couple of cafes, a general store, gift shops, and several lodges. The town park has swings, picnic tables, and monkey bars.
The Mountain Bluebell is a beautifully restored log cabin, built in the 1940's and was part of a lodge that used to be on the adjacent property. We have added some wonderful comforts for you to enjoy! The cabin has big windows to see the peaks from anywhere inside. The Queen bed is comfy and has nice bedding including a comforter w duvet. We have a comfy love seat inside as well. The bathroom is sweet, with a deep soaking tub, and a separate shower. The deck is the best, and you can see the fish rising in the creek's deep blue pools! We're sure you will love the wilderness feel of this amazing location !!
You can hear the sounds of the creek as well as see the glaciers of Amphitheatre Mountain from the bed! We have a fire ring next to the creek for you to roast marshmallows!
The kitchenette has a mini-refrigerator, a bar sink, a single burner stove top, a microwave, coffee maker and a toaster oven.
We have a small flat screen with a DVD player that you can plug your I-Pod or CDs into. The deck has a bar height table with an umbrella and 3 chairs. Later in the summer when the water goes down, there's a sandy beach right in front of the deck.
Besides the Soda Butte Creek flowing by, there's a beautiful, smaller creek, Willow Creek that flows on the other side of the deck!!
This cabin is in the small town of Silvergate and we like the fact that we're not too far out in the woods, and 'in the middle of nowhere'. You can see some human activity across the creek from the cabin, but it is far enough away to still feel private to us! Because of the creekside location, large lot, and big, close up mountain views, you feel like you are having a wilderness experience just being at the cabin!
We would love to host you at our little piece of paradise. Be ready for an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!

These listings also have a google map that show this cabin's location. What a dreamy property! If you are looking for the perfect blend of a mountain getaway and the comfort of being in a small mountain berg, this is great. You won't feel like you are alone on the planet, but you are far enough away from folks to feel private and very special!
John, Kate and Emily Mickus live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The Northeast Entrance and the Beartooth Mountains have been their favorite place to recreate for decades! 'We just love this area, its like going on a remote backcountry trip but still having some great amenities and the comfort of home!' John's parents purchased the property in 1975 and have created a spectacular combo of vintage log homes and modern comforts.
Combine this with the amazing creekside location in the Yellowstone ecosystem, and you have a vacation to remember! We're sure you will be impressed with the wildlife, mountains, and especially the beauty of our property. We look forward to hosting your family!

Because Silvergate allows us to actually 'be' in wilderness, while at the same time, have our cabin comforts. We have always enjoyed traveling and staying in places that show us the Best of the region both in natural beauty, as well as some local culture. This little mountain town has it all. And our cabins provide a peaceful, and inspiring experience!

These are our family's homes, and we love to share!!
This cabin is all everyone has claimed it to be. It was wonderful & the views are breathtaking. We left yesterday & I am already "homesick" for my little cabin .
We had a great week staying here. Loved sitting and listening to the river. Beautiful place to relax. We had a visitor the first day (black bear) that was awesome. There was a little buck come and drink at the river every morning and evening. If you want. A great place with great accommodations then this is the place. Close to town that has great ice cream. I hope to be back soon.
We spent 5 nights at the Mountain Bluebell to celebrate our anniversary, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations at the Mountain Bluebell cabin! It was just as advertised - very clean and nice, comfortable bed, adequately equipped kitchen, easily accessible and fantastic views! There are other cabins within sight, but after hiking and fishing all day, travelling a very short distance (<1 minute walk) for a great meal is really nice. Having said all that, the proximity to the best part of Yellowstone is what will keep us coming back! A twenty minute drive puts you in the heart of the Lamar Valley and its incomparable wildlife, hiking and fishing. We would definitely stay here again!
This is a GREAT little cabin! We loved having this as our home base to the Yellowstone National Park. The cabin was VERY clean and had all of the features mentioned in the ad. The view out the door of the mountains was breathtaking and the stream off the deck was a great bonus. We loved the deep soaking tub after long days of hiking! This cabin was perfect for the 2 of us and you won't find this type of accommodations at any hotel!
We had a wonderful time at this cute, comfortable cabin. Perfect location for going into the Lamar Valley at Yellowstone, taking Beartooth Pass which was breathtaking and the scenic road to Cody for an afternoon at the great museum there. Also enjoyed fishing nearby - catching some small brook trout. Wonderful caretakers Lynden and Chris took care of our every need. Thanks for sharing your watermelon!
What a great place to stay. It felt private, and was quite comfortable. The bathroom was very good, and provided a level that you wouldn't generally expect in a cabin. We basically used it as a base for trips to the park, but also to make two trips to Billings. Having the beautiful cabin to come back to was a nice respite. I did some fishing in the Soda Butte and had a little luck there so what fun to walk out the door and throw a line in the water right there.
This is a great place for a couple to stay for a week away. The comforts of the cabin and nearby attractions make this an ideal place to stay.
This is the ideal place to base a Yellowstone vacation from!! The area is full of activities, and has some great restaurants/shopping. You can walk to Yellowstone Park from the cabin!
This is a 'stand alone property', as there is not another unit next to it. Just trees, willows, and creeks!
