We were lucky enough to find this rental for a last minute get away. Nancy was wonderful to deal with and the home is wonderfully situated on the water at the end of the road. What neighbors there are, are friendly. There are only a few houses on the clear waters of Smith Pond making it a very quiet / relaxing place.
The nearest supermarket is about 9 miles away so forgotten items are not too far away. The house is fully equipped with all appliances and a gas stove with a double oven for large groups. The sun sets in perfect view of the deck - very nice!
This is a very nice home in a secluded spot in Southern NH but also barely two hours from Boston. My wife and I and our two children spent a low-key Thanksgiving at this home. The home is very clean and well supplied for all your needs. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need to make nice meals. The view from the porch is really beautiful. There is a great fire pit overlooking the lake steps from the back porch. The home is at the end of a dirt road and good for easy going walks. If you looking are to check out for a few days and get some peace and quiet this is a great find. The homeowners were easy to work with and very responsive.
We have used this home Twice for a yearly visits to New Hampshire and it's just perfect ! The owners are so wonderful and accommodating ! The house is always clean ! It's such a cozy place to relax and have a great vacation! We will always come back to this home ! Thank you !
Wonderful, cozy, peaceful are just a few of the words to describe this amazing water front get away. We enjoyed walking in the woods and the breath taking foliage was at it's peak. The loons echoed over the glass like Smith pond. Thank you Mark and Nancy for sharing your little piece of paradise
We spent a perfect week on Smith Pond with nothing more to do than swim, catch tadpoles, play monopoly, eat and sleep. With 4 kids pulled in all directions during the school year and work schedules that bleed into evenings and weekends, it was a real gift to just be together in complete privacy tucked away at the end of a quiet country road. The house was extremely well stocked with everything we could need—kitchen appliances, board games, fishing poles, rowboat, swim dock. Nancy and Mark were responsive and respectful. This is our first time renting a house directly from the owners and it was a charmed experience. Thank you!
My husband, my dog and I found the perfect place to stay in NH. The house is well equipped for a week away from it all. With its well-stocked kitchen, a canoe and row boat, a fire pit, charcoal grill, books, games, plenty of nooks and crannies to find alone time and beautiful Smith Pond outside the door, you don't need to leave. We had a hot week, but didn't much notice it. If we got hot, we just went for an amazing swim in the pond. And the cooler evenings were lovely in front of the fire pit. The loons! I almost forgot. We could make an afternoon's entertainment out of watching and listening to the loons. We had a great time and I nearly had to drag my husband away to drive home. Mark and Nancy, please let us know when you are ready to sell!
Swimming, fishing and canoeing are at your doorstep. Snowmobile Trail also provides excellent mountain biking and hiking/walking in Summer!
